The New London Ledge Light is said to be one of the scariest places on earth and one of the most haunted places on earth. The lighthouse is said to be haunted by Ernie who was a lighthouse keeper at the lighthouse who said he couldn’t leave the lighthouse and he threw himself off the roof of the lighthouse one night and killed himself.
Ever since then Ernie has been said to haunt the lighthouse and his spirit or ghost is reported often in and around the lighthouse. The lighthouse was automated in the 1980′s and a lighthouse keeper was no longer needed. Since then people have often reported seeing a man walking around on the roof of the lighthouse. But when authorities go to see who is on the lighthouse no one is there.
