A collection of photos from the Book of Wonders, The Book was published late 14th Century. The Kitab al-Bulhan, or Book of Wonders, is an Arabic manuscript dating mainly from the late 14th century A.D. and probably bound together in Baghdad during the reign of Jalayirid Sultan Ahmad (1382-1410). The manuscript is made up of astrological, astronomical and geomantic texts compiled by Abd al-Hasan Al-Isfahani, as well as a dedicated section of full-page illustrations, with each plate titled with “A discourse on….”, followed by the subject of the discourse (a folktale, a sign of the zodiac).
Al-Farabi, Kitab al-Bulhan, Zodiac, Pisces. al-Farabi, Abu Nasr (c.870-950) Al-Farabi was known to the Arabs as the ‘Second Master’ (after Aristotle), and with good reason. It is unfortunate that his name has been overshadowed by those of later philosophers such as Ibn Sina, for al-Farabi was one of the world’s great philosophers and much more original than many of his Islamic successors. A philosopher, logician and musician, he was also a major political scientist. Astrology.
It is interesting that one of the illustrations has the jew star in it.
Please educate yourself. That star is not now, nor has it ever been a Jewish symbol. It is the symbol of the synagogue of Satan, those who would call themselves Jews and are not.
Well, I guess they fooled me again. Thanks for the info. I am quite educated, BTW.
sorry I meant I am quite medicated.*
What is more satanic that Jew madness?
No, it is not the ‘Jew Star’ or ‘The symbol of Satan’, it is known properly as ‘The Star of Remphan’ (google it).
On Solomon’s ring, supposedly given to him by ‘god’, it had a double seal. On one side, the pentagram was present, on the other, the Star of Remphan. In addition, there were more markings on each side. God told Solomon that ‘with this ring, you may command demons, so that you may build the great Temple (as in, the first Temple of the Nation of Israel). Solomon took the ring, and as all men, he not only used the ring to command the demons to build the temple, but he also MISUSED the ring to bully the demons. One demon rose up, and tricked Solomon out of the ring, which the demon quickly hid from him. The demons then took their revenge on Solomon for what he had done, and how he had enslaved them to build god’s temple. God came down in total disappointment and retrieved his ring and dispersed the demons.
That Solomon had lost the ring, abused the ring, etc., wasn’t enough. Too many men had seen the ring and now worshipped the symbols that were on both sides as ‘talismans of power’ over evil. They worshipped them to the extent, that god felt he was forgotten, and that the symbols had become all-important to man (sound familiar yet? reoccurring theme with men, it seems). Well, at this point, god tells man ‘worship this symbol no longer, for it is not a symbol of good, but shows your failure and angers me’.
What did the Jews do? They used the Star of Remphan as their national flag, when they form their state in 1948. Figures.
Not too creepy, but very interesting, thanks!
