The cries of martyrs who were beheaded….
I saw thrones on which were seated those who had been given authority to judge. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony about Jesus and because of the word of God. They had not worshiped the beast or its image and had not received its mark on their foreheads or their hands. They came to life and reigned with Christ a thousand years. Revelation 20:4
The verse above applies to the martyrs who are beheaded for their testimony of Yashua/Jesus during the tribulation period. However, when I read this passage for the first time—decades ago—I was perplexed as to the notion that these witnesses, referred to in Revelation, would be beheaded. Now, decapitations have become the “calling card” of radical Islam, specifically ISIL.
Last weekend 21 Coptic Christians were beheaded on the shores of the Mediterranean Sea and their blood colored the water red. They were martyrs for their faith and I can’t help but believe we are seeing the harbinger of what is to come and the fulfillment of these verses.

it seems reasonable that we are now living in the last days. While we are not in the tribulation, we must be nearing it’s beginning, as the nations in the Middle East continue to war against each other and Israel is surrounded by nations who pose an existential threat to her.
The planet is under the control of The Fallen One, Satan. He is The Prince of this world. While Yashua/Jesus defeated him once and for all time by his blood sacrifice on Calvary, he still remains the ruler of this place and indeed gives his power and authority to those who would worship him.
We are heading toward The Time of Jacob’s Trouble, which is the Tribulation period. It is a time unlike any other in the history of mankind. Yashua/Jesus warns us: Unless those days were shortened no flesh would survive….
His words are not for the faint of heart and paint a dire warning of what is to come.
In closing todays short Bun. I am now receiving emails from folks who believe 2015 will be a banner year in that something will happen on earth that will be a game changer. Will it be the collapse of the dollar? Another terrorist event in this country, like a dirty bomb or an EMP? Will Russia enter the fray in the Middle East? Will Iran use their nuclear technology and attempt to nuke Israel? Will ISIL be defeated or will this rogue group of fanatics continue their bloody conquest of Iraq?
Then there’s the weather patterns with record drought and record temperatures being set all over the world. Earthquakes in diverse places continue with greater frequency, while volcanos that were once extinct are “waking up.” It’s up to everyone of us to examine what is going on and act accordingly. Does your neighbor know Yahsua? Have you ever told him or her about the “good news?” Instead of arguing about when we get taken out in the Rapture, or what Bible we should or shouldn’t read, there are folks out there who have never heard the good news. With that in mind let us focus this week on telling folks about Him who was sent, that He can take their sins away and give them eternal life. That He loves them right where they are. In the midst of adversity there is still the good news that Jesus saves….
