A series of cave paintings discovered 80 miles (130 kilometers) from Raipur, India have been making quite a stir among proponents of the ancient astronauts theory. The paintings show numerous featureless figures, some of them wearing what appear to be space suits. There are also representations of disk-shaped objects with what look like antennas and landing gears. Despite being 10,000 years old, the cave paintings are in very good condition.
Local legends tell of the “rohela people” – the small ones that would descend from the sky in flying vehicles. They would take away one or two people which would never be seen again.
Are these legends simply the product of imagination or are they describing ancient alien encounters?
