23This is the LORD’S doing; It is marvelous in our eyes. 24This is the day which the LORD has made; Let us rejoice and be glad in it. 25O LORD, do save, we beseech You; O LORD, we beseech You, do send prosperity!… Psalm 118

Every morning, the moment in which I find myself awake, I say the above words of the psalmist, to myself.  I start the day by giving the Most High God the recognition he is due.   This psalm is a proclamation, a statement of faith.

This is the day the Lord has made:  We give the creator, Yashua/Jesus, the credit for the day, the creation.  In other words as John tells us:  Through Him all things were made and without nothing that was made was made.

We’re not giving the credit to Darwinism, or the theory of evolution, but the creator of the universe, The Living God, who spoke everything we see into existence, from the galaxies spinning around in a cosmic dance above us, to the ant crawling on my kitchen counter scrounging for food.

Let us rejoice and be glad in it.  This next sentence is an admonition for us to rejoice in the fact that we are alive and “vertical,” and filled with the promise of another 24 hour period in which anything is possible!  We are told to be glad.  How many of us awaken to find ourselves in sickness, in financial trouble, without a  job.  In spite of our circumstances and the trials we face, we are told to rejoice and be glad. We are told:  All things are possible with God….

When we take this promise as a fact and couple it with the admonition of rejoicing that we are alive on planet earth and have another day to walk about in His creation, this should kindle our faith.  It should lift our hearts and minds and give us peace that He is in control and will work on our behalf.

O LORD, do save: What do we ned to be saved from?  Our habitual sin?  Bitterness, anger, malice, lust, covetousness?  The list is almost endless.  When we cry out to Him who is greater than anything we face, He is faithful to save.  It might not be in the way in which we imagined, but when we look back we can see His hand was guiding us and in fact, His footsteps were next to ours as we walk through life.

Send Prosperity: This is not a name it and claim it statement where we proclaim we will get a new house or a new car, but rather:  And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. Romans 8: 28  Father will prosper us in the way.  Think about how many areas of our lives this includes.  Our marriage, our relation with our children, our business, our ministry, our golf game!  LOL!  He will work everything to our good, if we trust Him.

In closing todays Bun.  Life can be hard.  It can be filled with trials.  However, there is a time when we enter into His rest.  With that in mind, let us rejoice that we have another day in which to see our Father work in our lives through Jesus, and the power of his mighty spirit.
