In the television show House of Cards there is a character who strikes and uncanny resemblance to Vladimir Putin, his name is Viktor Petrov. The character has the same initials as Vladimir Putin and the writers of the television show give us just a small glimpse into how Russian leaders operate.
While the television show is a bit of fiction there is a memorable line in the television show that is an ever present reminder of what goes on behind the mask of the Russian federation’s so called democratic government.
When Petrov first meets the President Frank Underwood he says something that strikes a chord with all of us that were worried about President Putin’s ten day absence at the Kremlin.
“You don’t understand Russia, Mr. President,” says the fictional President of Russia, Viktor Petrov, to his American counterpart Frank Underwood. “If people don’t like the job you’re doing, they vote you out of office. If they don’t like the job I’m doing, they topple statues. Blood is spilled. Chaos takes over.”
In the past ten days Russia has most certainly kept up appearances by either outright lying to the world media about their missing president or creating a media blackout that was only concerned about dead hand threats to the European Union.
It was reported in Israeli news that while Putin’s whereabouts were unknown, it is believed that he has been visited by generals and others basically taking over to philosophically push Putting in a more aggressive stance against Europe and the United States.
The proposals was more of a “dead hand” nuclear option as Putin and his consultants were under the assumption that Nuclear Forces of the United Kingdom were preparing for first strike targets in Russia.
For the past week, something strange has been going on in the European internet. For five days, web traffic from Texas to certain addresses in the UK has been routed through Ukrainian and Russian telecoms, taking a detour thousands of miles out of the way. Network traffic often takes a circuitous route as a result of network congestion or interconnection difficulties, but neither one would be enough to account for these routes. Instead, this was the result of a bad route announced by Ukraine’s Vega telecom.
This phenomenon is known as “route hijacking,” and it’s a common security concern for network engineers and security researchers alike. It’s particularly disconcerting because of the sensitive nature of many of the sites involved. Among the dozens of sites involved was the UK’s Atomic Weapons Establishment, which is tasked with managing and delivering the UK’s nuclear warheads, as well as the UK’s official mail service, the Royal Mail. US defense contractor Lockheed Martin was also running a VPN connection that was caught up in the redirection.
Of course the Russians saw this as a possible attempt at preparing a first strike by hijacking the commands and attempting to outwit the Russian Federation. Russians believed that the U.K. planned to launch a first strike against the Federation during the week of 15 March.
In a show of force NATO beefed up troops at the Russian border which also alarmed Russia that a sneak attack was in the works.
Leading western newspaper headlines stared focusing on Russian President Vladimir Putin’s comments about Russia’s readiness to place its nuclear forces on alert in the event an “unfavorable scenario” had unfolded in Crimea, despite the United States and the United Kingdom making similar statements before.
The war script was becoming more of a nail biter as very real saber rattling of Nukes had the west wondering if this was Putin talking or if there was another government in the wings using Putin as a puppet at gunpoint.
The script that was part of the international psy-op to show possible instability in the region also added intrigue with the assassination of opposition leader Boris Nemtsov in central Moscow last month. The Kremlin said that it was a “provocation” designed to undermine political stability, has fueled a climate of fear in Moscow where rumors have flourished.
Reports of the fall from grace of a long-standing Putin ally, Igor Sechin, head of oil giant Rosneft, have increased the conviction of many that there is a bitter power struggle going on for control of the country.
Others have pointed to remarks by the strongman leader of the Chechen Republic, Ramzan Kadyrov, praising the alleged killers of Nemtsov who were publicly paraded by the country’s security services.
Geydar Dzhemal, the chairman of the pro-Kremlin national Islamic Committee, even claimed on Georgian TV that Mr Putin had been “neutralized” — though still alive — by the FSB, Russia’s security service.
Vladimir Putin’s absence for 10 days added to the possibility that he was either dead or being held somewhere being told to order troops to begin aggression against the west.
Speculation began about Putin’s whereabouts #PutinIsDead began trending on Russian Twitter, and the Russian blogosphere began to churn out theories of what happened to the President.
There was the anonymous letter claiming to be from an employee of elite Moscow hospital, who said that Putin had had a stroke and was languishing in the hospital. There were the frantic messages from people who know people in the Russian Embassy in London, saying that they had abandoned London en masse and that there would be a statement in three hours — a statement that never got made.
There was the false report of the Kremlin press service asking foreign correspondents not to leave Moscow ahead of what would be a major announcement this weekend. A former Putin aide living in Washington posited that Putin had been overthrown by the siloviki (“strongmen”) in a palace coup.
Sources at the UA Press (Ukraine) stated that Russian President Vladimir Putin’s personal chief bodyguard, General Viktor Zolotov had been killed.
Ukraine journalist Alex Mochanov confirmed the rumors. The flags of the Russian federation were lowered at the Kremlin creating more evidence that a silent coup was happening.
There was also a report that many 18-wheeler trucks were moving into red square and setting up bleachers for a parade or an event of some kind.
Putin appeared on Monday, March 16th, to show that he was very much alive and once again talk about his Death Hand defense moves against the west.
From being the absentee President that rose from the dead Putin was very well heard, and as reported earlier today, the Russian president ordered nearly 40,000 troops in northern and western Russia to be put on full alert early Monday as part of snap-readiness exercises, official news agencies quoted Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu as saying.
The military exercises announced on Monday involve Russia’s Northern Fleet, as well as airborne and other troops in the west of the country. The main focus is to test readiness in the Arctic, where Russia has expanded its military presence in recent years, officials said. The exercises are scheduled to continue through to March 21.
As for reports of where he was during his absence he was allegedly at his spiritual retreat site a couple hundred miles north on Lake Ladoga.
The Millennium report stated that the whole affair was a failed CIA psy-op stating:
No, Putin is not dead. He’s not ill; he is the victim of yet another CIA-fabricated hoax. Is Vladimir Putin’s public absence related to the Russian Orthodox Lenten schedule?
The west takes advantage of Putin’s religious downtime by circulating a false story regarding his death, when they know he’s in his annual Lenten period of monastic silence.
Furthermore the report went on to claim that:
“This exposé is based on the premise that the premier intelligence agencies and secret services of the Judeo-Anglo-American Axis control — COMPLETELY — every major organ of the Western powers’ Mainstream Media (MSM).
In other words the CIA, MI6 and Mossad exert final editorial license over all the major newspapers, television news channels, radio stations, internet news platforms, book publishing houses, motion picture industry, etc. throughout the world with the exception of those obvious few. Whether the MSM news outlets are ultra-conservative and hard right or ultra-liberal and far left, they still operate under the strict direction of the The Company (State Department CIA).
However, what the Millennium Report failed to realize is that there was nothing in the America mainstream press that even spoke about Putin’s absence or death. Most of what was said about Putin was reported in the Internet press, generating from Israel, The U.K. and Twitter.
There were other sites that directly reported his death. Most conspiracy theory websites also started making their guesses as to what was happening.
It seems that there is another answer as to what happened and how the rumor mill was out of control.
“The leadership of the Anglo-American Axis, led by a highly secular government in the USA, knows exactly where President Vladimir Putin is, just as the Russians always know where President Barack Obama is. Given the highly advanced state of the art of information technology, as well as the extremely efficient workings of both Intelligence Agencies and Secret Services, the whereabouts of a major head of state has become fairly easy to determine… with absolute certainty.
This now normal state of affairs is exactly why the AAA is using the Mainstream Media (MSM) to disseminate a patently false and malicious story about Putin’s death. Since Putin is known to be a regular religious recluse, the West can confidently make mischief whenever he takes his extremely valuable monastic downtime.” –The Millennium Report
So we are being told that the western media should be ashamed of itself because Vladimir Putin was practicing his religious beliefs by being held up at the Valaam monastery, which is one of the Russian Orthodox Church’s holiest and most isolated sites.
We are being told that the CIA was behind the twitter and face book social psy-op which declared Russia weakened and defeated with its dead president.
By all accounts the internet rumor that Russian President Vladimir Putin died is nothing more than a hoax started with a Facebook page titled “‘R.I.P. Vladimir Putin,” which garnered almost 1 million likes when it hit the Internet on Tuesday, March 10, 2015. The ‘About’ page stated the following:
At about 11 a.m. ET on Tuesday (March 10, 2015), our beloved politician Vladimir Putin passed away. Vladimir Putin was born on October 7, 1952 in Saint Petersburg. He will be missed but not forgotten. Please show your sympathy and condolences by commenting on and liking this page.
The Mossad website DEBKA.com willingly disseminated misinformation, disinformation and false information about the death of Putin.
The spread of disinformation took off like wild fire and was reported in websites like Jews news, Information pipeline and various other mainstream media sites. It eventually was reported in The New York Times. It stopped short of being reported on Fox news. ABC, CBS, and MSNBC.
Radio Free Europe made one cryptic statement: “The Internet Thinks that Vladimir Putin is Dead.”
On Sunday March 15 the politician’s reps officially confirmed that Vladimir Putin is not dead: He joins the long list of celebrities who have been victimized by this hoax. He’s still alive and well, stop believing what you see on the Internet,” they said.
Now the internet is being blamed for the fake report saying it was reckless, distressing and hurtful to Russia. Others say this shows his extreme popularity across the globe.
It also demonstrates how the State department or other alphabet agency can control the zeitgeist.
That is of course if you believe that the so called death report was a psy-op. There are still many people who believe that the Russian government may have experienced an attempted coup and that the President was briefed to stay out of Moscow until things settled down.
While Putin was away there were various blackouts in Moscow and there was a huge fire at Moscow’s iconic Novodevichy (New Maiden) Convent.
The bell tower was in the process of being restored; the refurbishment began in September and was due to be finished in August 2015. The contractor responsible for the restoration has denied that any work was being carried out when the fire started, adding that Sunday is a day off and that all electric circuits had been deactivated.
The Novodevichy convent is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The purpose of UNESCO is to help the emergence of a single world culture with its own philosophy and background of ideas and with its own broad purpose. Their plan is for world unification of laying a world-wide foundation for the minimum physical welfare of the entire human species. Their goal is to whittle away dogmas of east and west and establish a new world Order.
UNESCO is believed to be a fundamentally corrupt, pro-tyranny organization.
It is believed that they will do whatever is necessary to sanitize this world of individual thought. They also have their hands in Agenda 21, a proposal to eliminate 2/3rds of the population to maintain global sustainability.
Well, if we continue to spin rumors about Russia that will raise their blood pressure and nuclear arms threshold, we will see that dream come true.
