Bigfoot Reality TV Just Jumped the Shark (or Otter Man)

While the primary focus of PlanetXNews.com is just what the header states (“News about Planet X and its possible effects on our weather and world”), we do regularly repost articles of a bizarre or extreme nature — i.e. “X” news. Regular readers of this site will also note that this is the first time I have editorialized. I have chosen the topic of Bigfoot and cryptozoology because I’ve been obsessed with all things Bigfoot since I was about 10 years old.
My wife thinks I’m crazy. Not for believing in the existence of creatures such as Bigfoot and the Loch Ness Monster but for my obsession with the subject of cryptozoology via the ever-increasing number of “monster” reality shows.
She says they are 100% fake: staged, scripted, poorly acted, etc. I have watched every one of these shows and I just can’t support that conclusion. Maybe I’m naive, overly-optimistic, whatever. Maybe I’m wrong. I was wrong about the “reality” of the TruTV repo show Lizard Lick Towing. My wife told me it was fake just based on its outrageous scenes. I needed evidence. Well, I found plenty of it, like the actor who played the role of Mayor Sam Davis. So I stopped watching that show, not because I don’t enjoy entertaining fiction but because it’s sold as “reality” when in fact it’s the complete opposite.
Which brings me to the Bigfoot / monster hunter reality shows.
