“Roswell does not have any type of film studio or any type of facility for film productions to go to,” studio board member Alan Trever told KOB-4 TV. “When we made the announcement at the Roswell Film Festival, it was met with cheers and jubilation. It is something that we’ve really worked hard for for the last eight months to a year.”

The project includes reworking an old FedEx building on the land for a mil shop and storage area which will be ready to open in August. They are additionally building a 20,000-square-foot soundstage and a 10,000-square-foot facility for production offices including a 40-seat screening room.

“Several large productions are looking at Roswell, which they wouldn’t have looked at before,” Trever told KOB-4 TV.

From the Internet Movie Database, Thadd directed the family film ‘Rodeo & Juliet’ and directed country music star Clay Walker’s 2013 ‘Top Ten’ music video ‘Jesse James’. He won the 2010 Western Heritage Wrangler Award for his portrayal of Wyatt Earp in the History Channel’s series ‘Cowboys and Outlaws: The Real Wyatt Earp’, won the 2007 Western Heritage Wrangler Award as executive producer for the film ‘Truce’, and won 2006 Spur Award from the Western Writers of America for his original screenplay ‘Miracle at Sage Creek’ featuring David Carradine, Wes Studi and Buck Taylor. Producer, director, screenwriter, actor, and published author, Thadd’s non-fiction book “Wild Bill Hickok: Deadwood City – End of Trail” was released in June 2001. Thadd is the father of Wyatt Turner who co-wrote the upcoming films ‘Palominas’ and ‘The Magic Season’.
