The much-loved series of books Missing 411 by David Paulides has launched a desire to create movie based on it. I want to see this movie happen – let's support this project on Kickstarter! (donate to make this happen at this link)
You may be shocked to know how many bizarre cases of missing people in state and national parks there are and how many are never heard about, even kept quiet.
Honestly, there is so much content for this documentary, it'd make an amazing TV series too!
The books are described as this -
A National Park Ranger told 30 year investigator, and writer in the field, David Paulides a troubling story. Over his years of involvement with numerous search and rescue operations at several different National Parks, he had detected a trend that he couldn’t understand.
The Ranger explained that during the first 7 – 10 days of a disappearance he would witness massive Search and Rescue activity and significant press coverage. Following this initial week -long effort there was almost always an immediate halt to the coverage, a discontinued search for the victims and no explanation from the search authorities…
Let's see this project happen, folks! This is riveting stuff.
I have 5 of David Paulides’s missing 411 books and I have carefully read and pondered them all to the same conclusions. His latest 411 missing hunters addition to the pile, I would not buy as I feel he has found a lucrative way of making money on the side in addition to his “lawman” pension. Let me expand my thoughts. All of this started when two no name no verifiable nobody’s come knocking on his door offsite at a national park. They drop some incredible unnatural stories in Dave’s lap, and it’s off to the races. Each book tells highlights, snippets and puppy dog tails of bizarre happenings and goings on’s in the world around us. Dave NEVER, NEVER teases us about his thoughts of what is happening, but why should he? That would close out the saga for the next book. If we start from the rationale that we live in a stable, naturally ordered world, then we must assume there are facts to these cases we don’t understand or that Dave’s accounts and facts of them are not accurate. No doubt the books make for great late night stormy weather reading but at $25.00 a pop per book plus added on shipping, I say save your money as the books will lead you to no rational conclusions.
