ATOMIC FAIT ACCOMPLI

The other night when Kenn Thomas was on Ground Zero speaking about the secret space program, there was a segment where I referenced that there are many conspiracy theorists that believe that movies like “The Day the Earth Stood Still” – are loosely based on the reality that both President Truman and Eisenhower were well aware that the “Flying Saucer” hysteria of the forties and fifties had something to do with the fact that we dropped the bomb on Japan 70 years ago.

Films like Ray Harryhausen’s, Earth Verses the Flying Saucers, The Day the Earth Stood Still and Close Encounters of the Third Kind, pop culture is filled with stories about friendly, curious extra terrestrials visiting Earth to learn more about mankind and to protect them from themselves.

One of those true believers that said extra terrestrials may have had a hand in warning us or protecting us from nuclear disaster is Apollo 14 veteran Edgar Mitchell.

The sixth man to walk the surface of the moon recently made headlines when he told the press that he believes peacekeeping aliens visited our planet to prevent a nuclear war between Russia and the United States.

Just like Klaatu did in “The Day the Earth Stood Still.”

The idea sounds far-fetched, but Mitchell claims military insiders viewed strange flying crafts cruising over US missile bases and the White Sands facility in New Mexico, the site of the first-ever nuclear bomb detonation in 1945.

The Roswell saucer crash of 1947 happened, and conveniently the 509th Bombing Group was stationed there. The 509th was an elite nuclear air wing, and at the time was the only nuclear air group in the world.

Of course, two years before the Roswell Incident in August of 1945, the 509th fulfilled its Atomic destiny when the B-29 “Enola Gay” piloted by Colonel Tibbets dropped the first atomic bomb and destroyed Hiroshima, Japan. Three days later, the group once again visited the Japanese mainland and unleashed the atomic inferno on another city, Nagasaki.

After 70 years we have been lucky to have not had a nuclear conflict, and Edgar Mitchell’s claim has been challenged by skeptics – and of course neo we are told that there are no aliens at the missile silos throwing themselves on bombs in protest and there is no giant robot named GORT ready to unleash punishment if leaders decide to push the button.

A few weeks back we were talking about how social change has thrown the United States into more division. Most Americans who consider themselves either Christian conservatives or with Libertarian views are concerned with the rapid change in attitudes about social issues.

The consensus has always had a problem with major changes and there are many people who are concerned that they have awakened into a different timeline where they feel they were a majority, but now find themselves on the approved “wrong side” of the debate.

When changes and future shock abruptly tamper with the normalcy bias, there is often a surge in violent behaviors, civil unrest, and what are called hate crimes.

These types of activities plague any kind of society that begins to see itself as doomed, or moving in a direction that seems to be oppressive.

The bending and mutilating of constitutional laws and human rights have been well documented. The continued power grabs and wanton greed of the warlords are finally being revealed. No longer are we to guess about the intentions of those in power. We no longer have to speculate about targets. They have all been published in books and in essays submitted to think tanks that are financed by the same self important fascists that have their cold grip on our nation.

We can just stand idly by and watch the entire system of social programs, the welfare of the states, the counties and the cities of the United States disintegrate. The country has been wrapped inside a massive shroud of fear and with this fear there is a demand for more control by the powers that be. This unfortunately is a mistake. A mistake we could have avoided if we just paid attention to history.

We are in transition from a relatively stable world, dominated by a handful of major powers, to something we cannot yet define. It seems clear, however, that there is a greater rapidity of change, accompanied inevitably by manipulation, cover- up and half truth. Some people don’t even know that they are being lied to.

A virtual cold war against the state is brewing in this country and while the nightly news tries to smooth it over with the latest reports of political subterfuge, the geopolitical landscape is changing, not just here at home but all over the known world. With geopolitical change, comes a reservoir of brooding anger created by the never ending criminal activity and back room deals made by governments at the expense of the health, safety and well being of the people.

The business of America is the perceived continuous war effort, whether it is a war on drugs, terrorism, or extremism. Major geopolitical trend lines are being drawn and confused citizenry are curious as to why America’s elected officials and henchmen have tried to destabilize governments, made deals with former enemies and have sworn to protect a nuclear program of a country whose chief export is terrorism.

We have bore witness to the training exercises of both Jade Helm 15 and NATO. We have been told that the desperation of the world is set for a leader that for good or evil is not a consequence, for devil or angel we seek a grand monarch or dictator to organize and conquer the never ending morass we find ourselves in.

This will not come without opposition, and with volatility increasing we will be inevitably witnessing the blow back and the fallout of what can only be seen as an Atomic Fait Accompli.

We know that the risks of a nuclear incident did not end with the Japanese surrender on August 15, 1945. Many people at that time called for a ban on nuclear weapons in order to avoid a nuclear arms race and the risk of future catastrophes like the ones in Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Since that time, it has become all too apparent how much is at stake in constraining the missile and nuclear weapon capabilities of North Korea, Iran, and other rogue states, as well as terrorists.

To this day, the saber rattling and threats of nuclear detonation continue, along with the nuclear secrecy and cover-ups that are key in obstructing congressional understanding of U.S. nuclear policies, and keeping the public in a constant state of atomic anxiety with regard to threats of war with superpowers like China and Russia.

In order to approximate strategies, it is important to look at blue prints that have already been indicated by Obama advisors like Zbigniew Brzezinski’s 1997 book, The Grand Chessboard.

brzezinski-grand-chessboard

In the book, which looks like a grand playbook, we begin to understand why the United States is making deals with what were regarded enemies. We also read why the United States would run the risk of siding with, neo-Nazis in Ukraine, or making nuclear deals with Iran, a sworn enemy of the United States.

Brzezinski wrote that US policy should be “unapologetic” in perpetuating “America’s own dominant position for at least a generation and preferably longer still.” Of course this type of reckless dominance puts us closer to the possibility of a nuclear war, or a limited nuclear confrontation with nations who are allies to Russia and China.

The prospect of a nuclear detonation anywhere in the world is a terrifying prospect and with all of the geopolitical changes in the world it is not entirely implausible. The idea that nuclear weapons are a major deterrent is now lacking logic and is opening up a new and frightening denial about what any nation or even terrorist group is capable of when pushed to its limits.

It is a naïve and dangerous idea to ignore that any and all nuclear adversaries to the United States could detonate an EMP or Nuclear blast over a populated U.S, city amid changing geopolitical circumstances.

We must already assume that frustrated and desperate non-state actors could gain access to the know-how and materials needed to fashion a nuclear weapon.

We also need to consider that possibility of a nuclear accident, like the one in Japan that has continually contaminated our oceans and has terminally damaged the eco-system.

Back in 2007, a B-52 flew off from Minot Air Force Base in North Dakota carrying six cruise missiles on its wings that it was bringing down to Barksdale Air Force Base in Louisiana for retirement. It was reported that unbeknownst to the crew six live nuclear-armed cruise missiles were loaded on that plane. The bomber flew across the United States and eventually landed safely in Louisiana.

The bomber flew for more than three hours over at least five states before landing. It was reported by the mainstream media that a plane with a nuclear payload was flying a “routine mission” from base to base and that the missiles were carefully crafted on board and ‘at no time was the public in danger’.

Later, after an investigation, it was found that the public statement was absolutely false.

The cruise missiles were not being shipped inside the plane, but dangling from the underside of the plane. They were, in fact, fully armed and ready for fire. All the pilot had to do was notify a radar navigator to drop the warheads along the route. Each warhead carried a 150 kiloton payload. With six of them on board, the plane had the kill power of 60 times that of Hiroshima – making all claims of a “routine” flight spurious.

If one of the warheads were to have been dropped or if the plane had crashed there would have been a “broken arrow” alert where a loose nuclear warhead could have killed hundreds of thousands of people.

Air Combat Command was on stand down on September 14, 2007 to review their emergency procedures.

During the review, there was a dispute over how many bombs were loaded and how many arrived. Some reports claimed that six bombs left Minot AFB, but only five arrived at Barksdale and the munitions squadron commander was relieved of his duties. Crews involved with the mistaken load including all ground personnel were also decertified for handling munitions.

It was then reported that a group called Citizens for Legitimate Government said the six members of the US Air Force who were directly involved as loaders or as pilots were killed within seven days in mysterious “accidents”. This sent up a red flag that a deeper conspiracy was afoot and a broken arrow exists somewhere ready to be detonated.

Once the “all clear, nothing to see here” was issued, Americans went on their daily information diet of reality shows and sports events.

Shake ups in military personnel and moves to hire a new guard and get rid of the old has also created a cold sense of mistrust.

Just last year it was reported that the US Air Force has discharged nine mid-level nuclear commanders disciplined dozens more because of an alleged test cheating scandal.

The nuclear force at the time was suffering from what was said to the public as minor systemic problems.

However, it was becoming evident that they were not all that “minor.”

Commanders of the 341st Wing’s three missile squadrons – each of whom is responsible for three nuclear missiles – were also fired.

All the while the reports were that the nuclear arms system and security was safe.

Safe in America supposedly – but how are things in the Middle East? Or perhaps even the Global South.

It is a sick though that if the Middle East sustained a nuclear attack from fighting countries, there would be ignorant Americans that would say, that all of the casualties would be a “good start.”

But it needs to be said that reality shows us that the world today is deeply interconnected and events can no longer be confined to the areas where they occur.

A nuclear detonation anywhere in the world would have profound implications for the work of organizations that provide disaster relief, refugee assistance, and health care, as well as those that promote human rights, food security, poverty alleviation, and environmental sustainability.

The potential for large-scale or even global annihilation remains real—it’s just a mistake away.

Mushroom clouds no matter where they appear have always been a symbol of the end.

They have always been a precursor to what is left.

Ground Zero.
