And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel. Genesis 3:15
bruise (2), bruises (1), overwhelm (1).
This passage in Genesis 3, is, what many claim is the first prophecy found in our Bibles, our Guidebook to the Supernatural! It is a short, pithy line, but is pregnant with meaning and, in my opinion, sets up the rest of the Biblical narrative. (Gary Stearman’s first talk at this years Nephilim Mounds Conference covered this!)
In this passage we find that there will be a seed war between The Fallen Cherub and the seed of the woman. Then the statement is made that the one who will be of the seed of the woman will bruise or overwhelm the Fallen Cherub, the Dragon, the accuser of the brethren, Satan.
The Messiah, Yeshua, Iésous, Jesus, was the seed of the woman and He overwhelmed the serpent. He crushed the serpent’s head and took the kingdom back! This is the good news, the serpent kingdom was defeated at the cross on Calvary. (Everywhere I go and explore ancient sites, it’s always a serpent that is represented in stone or earth!)
I think we are in the midst of a cosmic regime change. As Paul admonishes us:
….that the creation itself also will be set free from its slavery to corruption into the freedom of the glory of the children of God. Romans 8:22
The King, the one who crushed and overwhelmed the serpent, is going to return and with Him will be the armies of heaven. The Rider on the White Horse will overthrow the god of this world and I am hoping that it is soon.
The Fallen Cherub lost The Cosmic Chess Match, yet he continues to rob, kill and destroy men and women everywhere, and will continue to do so right up until the moment he is cast into the abyss for 1000 years. (I’m going to start a petition to leave him chained there permanently!)
In closing todays Bun. The enemy is defeated. When unwanted thoughts come or situations in life, that bear his fingerprints, overcome us, we should call upon the one who defeated him at the cross. Yeshua, Iésous, Jesus, is our hope, as he crushed and overwhelmed the serpent. We have the victory!
