James Carroll and I could not help discussing the controversial and viral video of the strange cube in the sky in the Texas that a few people filmed/photographed.
Me: This is so extraordinary, it's one of those things you just want to say “hoax.” It defies any aerodynamic capabilities and is rather clumsy to be exposed so easily. It reminds me of the easiest explanation – fata morgana.
Fata morgana is a situation in which light is bent to give an optical illusion. You see this in heat mirages, but also on the sea – like this ship that appears to be above the water.
Jim: Do we have photos of what was on the ground?
Me: Hill – not seeing anything else. Here's another shot – some houses -
I'm looking at the dark sides and light bottom. That could be a fata morgana of a house?
Remember when China had that “city in a sky” fata morgana?
They seem to come out of the clouds, but with the right temperatures and conditions, light is bent and an object is reproduced in the sky (at least to our way of seeing it).
Jim: Could all this be related back to our parallel world theory we worked on for Shadow People?
Me: A glitch in our matrix?
Jim: Ship photo is interesting cause the front is squarely truncated.
Jim: Hmmmmmm hot air mass high humidity reflecting what is below it.
Sharon: Sky mirror?
Jim: Basically.
Me: But it's not really reflected, but repeated. We have to put hoax on the table, but I have to say with a few people seeing it and photographing and videotaping it, it seems rather less probable.
Jim: A refractive effect. Due to an atmospheric phenomenon that only occurs on very specific occurrences and can only be viewed from a specific location.
Me: Wikipedia says “Fata Morgana mirages significantly distort the object or objects on which they are based, often such that the object is completely unrecognizable. A Fata Morgana can be seen on land or at sea, in polar regions or in deserts. This kind of mirage can involve almost any kind of distant object, including boats, islands and the coastline. A Fata Morgana is often rapidly changing. The mirage comprises several inverted (upside down) and erect (right side up) images that are stacked on top of one another. Fata Morgana mirages also show alternating compressed and stretched zones.[1] This optical phenomenon occurs because rays of light are bent when they pass through air layers of different temperatures in a steep thermal inversion where an atmospheric duct has formed.[1] (A thermal inversion is an atmospheric condition where warmer air exists in a well-defined layer above a layer of significantly cooler air. This temperature inversion is the opposite of what is normally the case; air is usually warmer close to the surface, and cooler higher up.)”
Jim: I think the cruise ship one is a possible hoax cause it shouldn't be squarely truncated.
Me: I agree. They say they can be distorted a lot, but no one seems to see this thing and there's folks all over the place. UFO, possible?
Jim: 1. UFO. 2. Hoax. 3. Dimensional shift.
Me: What about fata morgana?
Jim: Possible #4.
Me: Now, if it's a UFO, let's talk about its qualities. Many report UFOs use clouds to hide. Was a moving cloud, exposing one? And any thoughts on how this square moves?? I found this online “Speeddebunking video states that the resolution of the videos posted by SecureTeam10 is different than the “UFO” which is a clear indication that the object is inserted into the video. A report by dazzathecameraman notes that Glockner admits he faked the voice of an “astronomer” in one video.”
Jim: Well I believe UFOs can really be any shape they want. Space is a vacuum and offers no friction or resistance to travel. Only time you need aerodynamics is going planetary with an atmosphere and friction.
Me: One thing that supports a hoax is that no witnesses names were used.
Jim: Yes. And what about this – goes from a square cube with rough sides to a sleek rectangle depending on the pics.
Me: That is not the same thing! Light hits it differently, on the sides above and on the bottom below. So, I am half and half in fata morgana and hoax. I am lesser on the UFO concept, but mainly because anything that extraordinary would safely remained cloaked and not exposed like that.
Jim: I agree, unless it was the Borg.
Sharon: Well, then we know what happens. We will be assimilated….
