Mythical creatures are fabulous monsters and fantasy creatures that originate from legends and folklore. Unicorns, mermaids, trolls, dragons, they are all mythical creatures and have been the talk for hundreds of years. But, some say a few of them could be based on true stories and creatures and here are five legendary mythical creatures, that may not be so mythical after all… http://theforteanslip.blogspot.com/2016/02/5-mythical-creatures-that-could.html
The unicorn may not be so mythological as it is mentioned in the bible but of course that is a Hebrew translation to English, so lets take a peek:
Numbers 23:22
22 God brought them out of Egypt; he hath as it were the strength of an unicorn.
KJV
Numbers 24:8
8 God brought him forth out of Egypt; he hath as it were the strength of an unicorn: he shall eat up the nations his enemies, and shall break their bones, and pierce them through with his arrows.
KJV
Job 39:9
9 Will the unicorn be willing to serve thee, or abide by thy crib?
KJV
Job 39:10
10 Canst thou bind the unicorn with his band in the furrow? or will he harrow the valleys after thee?
KJV
Psalms 29:6
6 He maketh them also to skip like a calf; Lebanon and Sirion like a young unicorn.
KJV
Psalms 92:10
10 But my horn shalt thou exalt like the horn of an unicorn: I shall be anointed with fresh oil.
KJV
OT:7213
OT:7214 <a@r=
re’em (reh-ame’); or re’eym (reh-ame’); or reym (rame); or rem (rame); from OT:7213; a wild bull (from its conspicuousness):
KJV – unicorn.
