We have arrived at the age of the cyber-athlete, where detection of genetic enhancement is all but impossible. Instead of adding something extra to athlete’s bodies that can be often easily detected, as with regular doping, gene doping would alter athletes’ genetic codes so that they would simply seem to be naturally finely-tuned for competition.
