Chilling events from the sky, folks. Two completely bizarre videos for you. WTH is going on in the sky that we can’t see?!
From MrMBB333
Citizens in South Texas woke early Monday morning to eerie PURPLE SKIES, saying “They have never seen anything like it before”, and, later that afternoon they were slammed with at least 6 devastating tornadoes. The skies recently have been so scary that even 10′s of thousands of birds would rather land on a busy interstate highway than deal with what was in the sky!
Houston-area residents woke up to a colorful view as severe thunderstorms began to roll in Monday morning, and this time, it wasn’t a rainbow.
The sky lit up with vivid shades of pink and purple as the sun rose — and social media users couldn’t help but connect the stunning sky’s magenta hue with Prince’s famous “Purple Rain” song.
It was unlike anything residents had seen before.
“It was raining pretty bad and I just woke up to see what was going on and saw this amazing sky,” Bruna Pantarotto Souza from Spring, Texas, told CBS News. “I’ve never seen this before.”
Patricia Howard was also mesmerized by the sky’s beauty as she stepped outside her home in Texas City around 6:45 a.m.
“I have never seen anything like it before,” Howard said. “And yes, ‘Purple Rain’ is definitely stuck in my head now!”
Skywatchers say the purple glow lasted for about two hours. Some reported seeing the colorful sky as early as 5:30 a.m. and say it started to fade to gray around 7:15 a.m.
Zari Flores shares her view from Houston.
Elizabeth Bowman of Friendswood, Texas, also couldn’t stop humming “Purple Rain” after witnessing the colorful sky.
“It was for sure the theme, it just fit so well,” Bowman told CBS News. “I’ve seen the sky a pinkish color, but never this bright of purple.”
The National Weather Service (NWS) issued a severe thunderstorm warning in several Texas counties Monday morning, including Fort Bend, Grimes, Harris, Montgomery, Walker and Waller until 6:30 a.m.
Light to moderate rain is expected to continue moving northeast across southeastern Texas throughout the day, the NWS forecast.
It’s unclear if the purple sky will return, but residents are hopeful.
“I thought it was absolutely gorgeous,” Howard said.
So you combined two stories here, trying extra hard for that sensationalism, eh?
See, the southwest, including Texas, tends to get some pretty intense and colorful sun rises, and sun sets.
I notice that you’re source article, only has residents commenting on how pretty it was. The internet is the only place that added PURPLE PANIC! and tried to make this sound like some kind of apocalyptic scenario.
Also take note, no birds landed on the road to avoid there purple sky. You completely lied, adding that to your story, and throwing in a YouTube video to an incident last month where a bunch of birds were spotted on the road.
But that had nothing to do with the purple sky.
I hate that you “reporters” here are so blatantly obviously going for clicks over reporting. I mean you outright lie here, just to embellish your crappy news about a stormy morning in Texas.
It’s disgusting.
And you guys do it with EVERYTHING.

Purple sky is a rare phenomenon; bird chaos – look at the under-lege of the wall to see the birds hiding from whatever it is that spooks them. You can clear the reporting that so upsets you by reducing the volume but the picture remains the same. You are the disgusting one who cannot see the obvious while blaming the oral report. Duh!
Looks like the gov’t is running HAARP overtime with their weather modifications. Another method to scare the population so the gov’t can come in and take more control saying :…”we’re from the gov’t and we can help you..” or some lies like that. The gov’ started that weather program in the early ’50′s as a weapon, but like all weapons, they turned it on their own citizens. Time to get right with the Lord.
you should be more concerned with the out gassing happening in the weather video all over the country but you see it well on your video of the birds /weather.
