Chiraq lived up to it’s nickname. One child who got shot didn’t live long enough to finish second grade. By this time, all criticsm of Spike Lee’s movie about Chicago has been voiced. There are gun toting gangsters who attack people in city parks, at schools, on basketball courts and anywhere people gather. This gives authorities incentive to build a police state.

Military weapon-armed thugs kill Americans and in response, the  police militarize their departments with surplus weapons of war–tanks,rifles, sound weapons and tactics.We lose more people to gun violence than we did in the Iraq War.  Too many Americans live in a war zone.  If this keeps up, one day Chicagoans may be singing “Chiraq the beautiful”.
