UK Prime Minister David Cameron has grown even more unpopular amid calls for more austerity while supporting wars abroad, an analyst tells Press TV. In a new year’s message released on Sunday, Cameron said the British people should look forward to 2013 with “realism and optimism” and insisted that the country is “heading in the right direction” on all the big issues, while a new study shows that more than 40 percent of families expect their finances to worsen in 2013.

Press TV has conducted an interview with Chris Bambery, a political commentator from London, to further discuss the issue.
