There are some people who have told a particular lie so often, they must really believe it to be true. After hearing President Obama proclaiming the successes of ObamaCare, I wonder if that isn’t the case with him and his signature train wreck, er. health care plan. You did hear his remarks that ObamaCare was working, didn’t you? Yes, you read that right. President Obama is making the claim that ObamaCare is working. Imagine that!
CNN – Nevertheless, Obama claimed victory at a White House ceremony, saying the program approved by Congress in 2010 — with no Republican support and vilified relentlessly by the GOP as government overreach — has been a force for good.
He said it wasn’t perfect, acknowledging the early difficulties in selecting a policy on HealthCare.gov, and he predicted more hurdles in carrying it out.
But the overall goal of starting to narrow the gap between those with health coverage and those without it has begun, and millions of Americans are embracing it, Obama said.
“That’s what the (law) is all about, making sure all of us and all our fellow citizens can count on the security of health care when we get sick,” he said, noting that the “law is doing what it’s supposed to do. It’s working.”
Mr. President, please define working. I know this one thing. If what we have seen of ObamaCare means it is working, then I want no part of it. Many Americans have lost the health care insurance plans they had, liked, and were using. All because ObamaCare and its infinite regulations said those plans were not good enough. No, we can’t have middle-aged American men not having access to prenatal care or birth control. That would be a travesty of the greatest kind.
But, our objections are swept aside by the same kind of fear mongering the President and his liberal supporters always like to use. Those of us who are voicing our opinions about ObamaCare and the ensuing disaster evidently do not want anyone in America to have health insurance. The President explained that during his ObamaCare cheer leading session in the Rose Garden.
But Obama said at the White House that the law is good for the country, regardless of politics, and that the numbers show Americans want it and that it’s “here to stay.”
“I don’t get it. Why are folks working so hard for people not to have health insurance? Why are they so mad about the idea of people having health insurance?” he asked.
Once again, the fear mongering arises out of the depths. Who knew conservatives were so upset because people are now able to sign up for health insurance? I feel like I need to repent in sackcloth and ashes.
No, Mr. President. We are not mad because people are now able to get health insurance, when they previously had none. What goes against our grain is the fact that so many people are losing their health insurance plans, being forced to work fewer hours, or just plain losing their jobs, all because of ObamaCare. So what if some people who had no health insurance before, do now? Does that really matter or is it a true positive for our country, given the negative effects that are so prevalent, all because of a government take over of the health care system.
Mr. President, I ask you again. Please define working.
