According to the headquarters of the so-called ATO, on February 9 the positions of AFU in the village of Krimskoye were fired thrice with “Grad”, as well as twice were fired in the area of Novotoshkovskoye.
Summary of militiaman Yan: In the evening of February 9 Novorossia Artillery conducted counterbattery work towards Krasnogorovka, four units of howitzer artillery and ammunition depot were destroyed. There was relatively quiet in Gorlovka, but in the direction of Debaltsevo it was quite loud; after blocking tracks at Logvinovo, assault units of the Novorossia army increased the pressure on the northern outskirts of Debaltsevo, Kiev punishers left Novogrigorovka with losses in armored vehicles and manpower and the main units of Novorossia regular army entrenched in the village by the night.
Message from militias: From 22:20 to 22:45 AFU struck with MLRS at Petrovsky district of Donetsk. They used heavy artillery from areas Kurakhovka and Krasnogorovka.
Message from militia, on February 10, Ukrainian army conducted shelling of Donetsk Airport with MLRS from the settlement Krasnogorovka about 1:00. Militia Artillery struck back pretty quickly on AFU positions. During the duel one of the AFU batteries was destroyed.
In the night of February 9 to 10, meeting of representatives of “Norman Four” took place, which ended a few hours ago in Berlin and brought “some considerable results” for the negotiations of the leaders of four states in Minsk on February 11.
Summary of militiaman Yan: Night of February 8 to 9 was relatively calm. Militia artillery worked on the positions of the AFU in Krasnogorovka. Early in the morning the Ukrainian army attempted to break through to the north of Debaltsevo (the settlement Novogrigorovka), there was a shooting fight with heavy weapons, by 9 am the situation escalated in Novogrigorovka direction – intense battles continued, Ukrainian troops lost one tank by that time, there is a loss in manpower. In the area of Yasinovataya the morning is not calm, gunfire was heard toward Krasny Partizan. Over the past day more than twenty people were killed in Donetsk, the same amount is of the injured of varying severity. About ten o’clock AFU shelled Gorlovka with MLRS and AGL. At half past eleven mortar fire is conducted on the settlement Gorlovka from the settlement Mayorsk. In the afternoon, gunfire was heard in the settlement of Yasinovataya, AFU were shelling the area of old terminal with MLRS. At one o’clock Textilschik district suffered the shelling with MLRS “Uragan”, civilian car was burning on the bridge leading to district Petrovka, there are dead (five people), the bridge was damaged (crater 1.5 m. to 1.5 m.). At Debaltsevo fierce fighting continued, Novorossia army assault reconnaissance groups fought in the locality Novogrigorovka, there were skirmishes in northern part of Debaltsevo. In the northern districts of the city tensions remained, around five in the evening the Ukrainian army conducted strike at microdistricts Schetinina and Textilschik with MLRS (private sector, fire and destruction). Around seven in the evening Ukrainian army conducted strike at the district Putilovka and the airport with MLRS, there were breaks in the area of the shopping center “METRO”. Fierce fighting continued around Debaltsevo pocket, the Novorossia army approached to the highway from Lugansk direction, militia assault groups came to the settlement Loginovo, AFU suffer heavy losses, panic erupted in the ranks of AFU. Provocations by the Ukrainian army are possible such as shelling of residential areas in the AFU occupation. At 19:30 (NR) Ukrainian army conducted strike with MLRS on microdistrict Textilschik again, shells fell in the residential sector of high-rise buildings, a car burned, information about the victims is unknown.
On February 8 Donetsk was shelled with “Tochka-U” late in the evening, the video was recorded from the positions of the right sector.
According to militiaman with the call sign “Zemlyak”, Artyomovsk track is almost taken, but they cannot gain a foothold now. An artillery duel is conducted. AFU use MLRS “Grad” and SPG “Gvozdika” from Svetlodarsk.
DPR confirmed that Donbass militia forces managed to close the so-called Debaltsevo pocket. In the evening of February 9 fierce fighting continued on the eastern outskirts of Debaltsevo (in order to avoid capture of Chernukhino by Ukrainian troops which is under the control of the Donetsk People’s Republic army), it was reported by the deputy commander of the DPR army Eduard Basurin.
The militia announced a prisoner exchange for February 10-11. Newspaper writes about this, Donetsk news agency, citing the authorized representative of DPR on Human Rights Darya Morozova. Exchange will take place, it was delayed for a day, but the formula of prisoner exchange was not determined. Most likely, the procedure will take place on neutral territory, but, perhaps, on ours.

On February 9 units of Novorossia armed forces captured locality Logvinovo on the highway M-03, thereby closing the encirclement of Debaltsevo group of Ukrainian army. During the day, Ukrainian law enforcers tried to repel the locality, but to no avail. If the militias gain a foothold and keep position, Debaltsevo “pocket” will be created.
