Canadians protest against anti-terrorism bill proposed by government – YouTube

A controversial anti-terrorism bill proposed by the Canadian government
has sparked protests across the country. The demonstrators consider the
bill a violation of civil rights. They fear that signing the bill into
law would widen the powers of police and the country’s spy agency in
dealing with citizens.

Powerful Anti-Police State March Takes Over Streets of Winnipeg!

Winnipeg Alternative Media

On March 14th, 2015 Winnipeggers rallied in front of City Hall against the new “anti-terror” secret police Bill C-51. Nearly 600 people came out of all kinds of backgrounds. While politicians used it as a platform to promote themselves, many made very reasonable speeches including Pat Martin, NDP MP from Winnipeg Centre. We spoke to him about the coming police state as well as war resister Joshua Key, marijuana rights activists Steven Stairs and Kristen Aldrich, great members of Winnipeg’s Idle No More community, a Winnipeg police officer and several average everyday Winnipeggers of such diverse backgrounds as libertarian all the way to communism! The bill affects so many people of all sorts of activism that we largely saw a giant chunk of the Winnipeg activism community and others who are afraid they’ll be labeled a “terrorist” for criticizing government peacefully and lawfully. We heard from many speakers and after the speeches were done we took to the streets with incredible momentum.
As women from the Idle No More community led the march with their drums creating a heartbeat to the march, police blocked off streets to let activists march down Main Street to Portage, Portage to Memorial and all the way to the steps of the Legislative Building.
It was an incredible sight to behold. Both Todd McDougall and Josh Sigurdson bull horned the crowd as everyone chanted for freedom, freewill, against bill C-51, Stephen Harper and the military industrial complex. Many people held up signs saying “I am not a terrorist!”.

  • Obviously, you Canadians now know that your government Oligarchs are your terrorists.

Have you ever seen a Terrorists attack on regular people? NO they attack those that have terrorized them. Since when do the people of a country go and kill others in other countries? It is the governments and those that are Involved with the governments. So as long as you allow the to yell out a bunch of BS in YOUR NAME, you get what you get. Try hanging a few of them and see how much terrorism they scream then. I bet they will really be careful from that moment on of what they do in the name of the people. Start bringing them to trial for treason.
