Dmitry Kobylkin briefed the President on the socioeconomic situation in the region and the implementation of major infrastructural gas projects on the territory of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Area.
According to Mr Kobylkin, they are actively implementing the Yamal LNG project, developing the port and monitoring large LNG tanks, while the construction of three icebreakers has been launched at the Baltic shipyards. The second complex of the Bovanenkovo oil-gas condensate deposit has been recently commissioned. The construction of a pipeline system is underway to ship up to 25 million tons of oil. The region’s gross domestic product has doubled in the past five years.

Vladimir Putin had a working meeting with Head of the Republic of Karelia Alexander Khudilainen. Mr Khudilainen briefed the President on the results for 2014 and plans for 2015.
Mr Khudilainen said that Karelia is getting investment in the timber processing and mining sectors. Tourism is developing, with more than 2 million people visiting the republic, which has a population of 640,000 people, in 2014. A revival is underway in the shipbuilding sector. Work continues to connect the region’s towns and villages to the gas network, and construction of a new airport will begin in 2015.

PRESIDENT OF THE SUPREME COURTVYACHESLAV LEBEDEV: Mr President, we have reviewed the court’s work since the merger. Looking at the court system’s work and the matters of substance, we see that everything is running in accordance with the Supreme Court’s legal positions.

The main subject on the agenda will be continued steps to develop bilateral cooperation, particularly trade and investment ties, cultural and humanitarian contacts, and relations in the energy sector.
The two presidents will also have a detailed exchange of views on cooperation in connection with Kyrgyzstan’s accession to the Eurasian Economic Union
