Iraqi forces, ISIL terrorists clash in Salahuddin province

“Kurdish fighters retake territory from ISIL in Hasaka”
Syrian opposition sources say Kurdish People’s Protection Units, also known as YPG, have retaken more land from the ISIL terrorists in the northeastern part of the country.
According to the London-based opposition Syrian Observatory for Human rights, YPG fighters have seized new areas in the town of Tal Tamer in Hasaka province. Several terrorists as well as two Kurdish fighters lost their lives in the fierce clashes. Kurdish forces have made significant territorial gains against the ISIL since liberating the Kurdish border town of Kobani in January.
At least 12 killed, dozens injured in blasts in & around Baghdad
Iraq is witnessing yet another day of deadly violence. Several blasts have left at least 30 people dead and dozens injured in and around the Iraqi capital and in Diyala province.
The deadliest attack hit a busy commercial area in central Baghdad, where at least five people were killed and 15 wounded. The second bomb went off in the town of Mahmoudiya, south of Baghdad, leaving four people dead and nearly a dozen more injured. Elsewhere in a neighborhood in southwestern Baghdad, another car bomb blast killed three people and wounded more than a dozen. Separate blasts also targeted the cities of Muqdadiya and Baqubah in Diyala province. At least 18 civilians were killed and nearly 30 injured. The deadly attacks come as government forces are engaged in a battle with ISIL terrorists in the country’s west.
