Cuban President Raul Castro has called for an end to the US embargo against Havana.
Castro made the request at the Summit of the Americas in Panama City. He also called the US review of Cuba’s terror status a positive step. The two Cold War adversaries are negotiating to restore diplomatic relations that broke in 1961. Earlier in the day, US President Barack Obama told the summit that his Cuba policy shift marks a QUOTE turning point for the region. The two leaders attended the summit for the first time. Obama has, however, acknowledged that the two countries will continue to have disagreements.
