Urgent: Congress Voting to Ban Late-Term Abortion!

There is a huge vote scheduled this week in the House of Representatives and it needs your help to get it passed!
Earlier this year, the GOP blinked and gave up trying to pass HR36 – The Pain Capable Unborn Child Protection Act.
This legislation is simple. Once an unborn child has developed to the point that he or she can feel pain, then abortion becomes illegal. Period.
Since Congress withdrew the bill earlier this year, we have bombarded them with thousands and thousands of faxes demanding that they take it up again. It worked! They’ve altered the language a bit and now the bill is back up for a vote.
This week, the House of Representatives is holding a vote on a bill to outlaw abortion after 20-weeks.
The medical community accepts that 20 weeks is when unborn children are able to feel pain in-utero. In fact, if a pregnancy has complications and a surgeon is forced to operate on a child in the womb, the baby must be given anesthesia. Why? Well, otherwise the surgery would be unethical because the baby would be in constant pain.
If it is unethical to cause a child pain in-utero after 20 weeks of gestation, how on earth can we just sit by while these same children are dismembered and killed?
Every time we push this issue, we get people emailing in telling us to stop caring about social issues. We simply can’t do that.
Not only is 20 weeks the point where unborn children feel pain, but it is also the point that these children are able to survive and develop outside the womb. Now, giving birth at 21 weeks is hardly ideal. But history proves that these premature children can survive outside the womb.
In 2011, a child was born in Europe at 21 weeks and survived, proving that the point of viability is much earlier than the Supreme Court believed in 1973. Another child was born at 21 weeks, 5 days gestation in 2006. Today, she is in grade school.
So if an unborn child can feel pain at 20 weeks old and survive outside the womb at 21 weeks old, how the heck is it ok to kill them?
Seriously, how can liberals claim that murdering a child at this point in the pregnancy is a “right?”
Believe it or not, there are liberal Democrats out there who advocate for post-birth abortion… No, that’s not a joke.
For the left, abortion is just another form of birth control. Instead of teaching responsibility, the left teaches that children can be aborted at any time, for any reason. The sad thing is that everyday, children are aborted in this country who could have been born and lived a full life.
The Pain Capable Unborn Child Protection Act would ensure that viable unborn children are never aborted ever again (with the exception of those conceived through rape or incest). Any baby that develops to the point of viability will be allowed to survive.
The number of abortions after 20-weeks is, admittedly, small. However, this federal legislation would save thousands of unborn children every year from being killed. Over a decade, it would give tens of thousands of babies the chance to mature and have children of their own. What we do here will have a lasting effect on this country for centuries to come.
Now, I believe that life begins at conception, but that is a political non-starter at the moment. A lot of you probably are against this type of legislation because it doesn’t go far enough. That is completely fair.
But we’re not going to win by going all-or-nothing. The only way we win is by slowly chipping away at this.
Pro-abortion advocates believe that they have the right to abortion on-demand at any point in pregnancy. The reality is that numerous court cases support the right of states and the Federal government to outlaw abortions after the point of viability.
When this bill was brought before Congress in January, the GOP spit in our faces and chickened out. We cannot allow that to happen again!
