Syrian Army Shocks Terrorists by Retaking Control of 2 Important Regions in Aleppo
The Syrian army forces surprised the terrorists and their supporters by regaining control of two important districts in Aleppo city, inflicting heavy damages and casualties on the militants.
“The Syrian army forces staged preplanned operations in the Northern Reef (countryside) of Aleppo and managed to free the buildings and complexes in the Northwestern part of Bashkoi region,” a Syrian military source said on Saturday.
During the operations, the Syrian army units heavily attacked the terrorists hiding in these buildings and wounded, killed and held captive a large number of them, the source said.
The Syrian military source also said that another region in Aleppo named Afghans district was also cleansed of terrorist elements by the army, adding that these victories were achieved as some news websites had claimed the terrorists’ upper hand in Aleppo.
Reports from Northern Syria said on Friday that the Army pushed back terrorists’ massive attacks on its line of defense in Aleppo city and inflicted heavy casualty on the militants in the last four days.
The coalition of terrorist groups called ‘Fath Halab’ (Aleppo Conquest) has intensified its attacks over past four days on the city to break the army’s line of defense, specially in the Western parts of Aleppo over past four days.
Fath Halab started its attacks on Al-Ashrafiya, Al-Khalediya, Al-Sabil and al-Zahra districts in Western Aleppo on Monday.
On Tuesday, the Syrian army intensified its offensives in Aleppo after the terrorist groups launched mortar attacks on the Western parts of the city.
The army’s intensified attacks came after the terrorists hit the government-controlled residential areas in Aleppo city.
However, the Syrian army prevented the terrorists to make any advancement in the areas under its control in Western Aleppo.
The terrorists started heavy attacks against the Syrian army positions in Aleppo with the intelligence, logistic and arms supports that could have been provided only by their regional allies, an independent source said.
The four regions of Rashedeen, al-Khalediya, al-Ashrafiya and Bashkoy are the worst scene of the fierce clashes between the terrorists and the Syrian army.
Tens of terrorists have been killed in the Syrian army artillery attacks and airstrikes on Rashedeen region and field reports said that the corpses of the dead terrorists are scattered on the ground for several hundreds of meters in this area.
Ex-Commander: Syrian Intelligence Agency Finds Abu Bakr Al-Baghdadi’s Hideout
A former commander of the Syrian army said that the country’s intelligence agents have found out the hideaway of ISIL’s main ringleader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi.
“The Syrian intelligence service has succeeded in finding the whereabouts of Abu Bakr Baghdadi, but we cannot hunt him down at present due to the unfavorable conditions,” retired Brigadier General Bashar al-Zaqloul was quoted as saying by Panorama Middle East on Saturday.
“Efforts are underway to assassinate him,” he added.
Zaqloul underlined that if the Syrian intelligence service finds an opportunity to kill Baghdadi, it will certainly do so since he is a terrorist and deserves death.
Earlier reports said that Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi had died and members of the Takfiri group in Iraq had sworn allegiance to Abu Ala Afri as his successor.
Two Iraqi news agencies, Alghad Press and Al-Youm Al-Thamen (the 8th Day) as well as sources in the Iraqi city of Mosul reported in April that Baghdadi died in an Israeli hospital in the occupied Golan Heights where he had been hospitalized for treatment after sustaining severe injuries during a joint attack of the Iraqi army and popular forces.
The sources added that al-Baghdadi has been declared by his Israeli physicians and surgeons as to be now “clinically dead”.
Army, Popular Forces Win Back Northern Tal Ahmar in Quneitra
The Syrian army backed by the popular forces freed Northern Tal Ahmar region in the Reef (countryside) of al-Quneitra.
The army and popular forces pressed ahead with their military campaign against the ISIL in Quneitra province, Southwestern Syria, and liberated Tal Ahmar district from the grip of Takfiri group. They also chased the terrorists who fled the scene after facing the heavy attacks.
The Syrian army also pounded the al-Nusra Front terrorists’ gathering centers in different parts of Northern and Eastern Reefs of Quneitra province.
A Syrian source also said that the army targeted al-Nusra Front’s positions in al-Hamidiya town in the Northern Reef of Quneitra province.
Informed sources said on Thursday that the Syrian army pressed ahead with its military campaign against the Al-Nusra Front in al-Quneitra and Dara’a provinces, claiming the lives of hundreds of the terrorists.
An informed Syrian military source said that the army units in Eastern, Southeastern and Northern Reef (countryside) of Dara’a pounded and destroyed al-Nusra Front’s military equipment and vehicles armed with heavy machine guns.
The source also said that the Syrian army units repelled the terrorist attacks against the residents of Tal al-Shaar, Tal Bazaq and Kram Jaba regions in the Eastern Reef of Quneitra.
According to the military source, 200 terrorists were killed and wounded during the operations in Quneitra and Dara’a provinces and their weapons and military equipment were destroyed.
Also on Tuesday, the sources said that the Syrian military operations have left tens of Takfiri militants dead and dozens more injured in the Al-Thala airbase region in the past 24 hours.
Over 275 Al-Nusra Front terrorists were killed near Al-Thala airbase in Sweida province on Monday, sources on both sides declared.
“The army units with the help of popular defense forces repelled the attempts by the Al-Nusra terrorists to retake the strategic airbase in Sweida province,” a Syrian army source told FNA.
He said in the first phase of the army operation in Al-Thala airbase region over 100 terrorists were killed, and added, “And in the second phase, the army killed 25 terrorists who were trying to penetrate into Um Walad town.”
The army artillery units pounded the Al-Nusra Front positions in Western Sweida province, killing another 150 terrorists.
