Arab Media: Turkey Preparing for Military Intervention in Northeastern Syria

A Saudi newspaper claimed that Turkey is paving the ground for military intervention in Syria amid the Syrian army and Kurdish forces’ united operations to defend their lands against the ISIL in the Northeastern city of Hasaka.

The London-based al-Hayat newspaper reported on Sunday that 12,000 Turkish forces are ready for military intervention in Syria under the pretext of creating a buffer zone to protect the Turkish borders against the threat of the terrorist groups.

It also added that the Kurdish forces deployed in Hasaka have joined the Syrian government forces to fight against the ISIL terrorists in the Eastern parts of the country.

The Syrian government confirmed on Saturday that the army troops have secured Hasaka, rejecting reports that the ISIL terrorists are still in control of the main buildings there.

The Syrian government issued a statement yesterday, saying that Hasaka is now safe and the army soldiers are cleansing the city from the remnants of the Takfiri militants.

The statement added that the terrorists tried to sneak into the city for several times, but the Syrian forces hunted them down.

It also denied a report that a major prison in Hasaka was attacked by the terrorist group, saying that the facility in Ghweiran District is under the control of government forces.

Chief of Hasakah Police Department General Hasib al-Tahan told SANA that neighborhoods on Hasakah outskirts which were claimed to have been captured by ISIL, including Ghweiran, al-Aziziyeh and al-Salehiyeh, are “all safe.”

Syrian Army Marching on ISIL, Nusra Positions in Aleppo

The Syrian Armed Forces made significant advances against the ISIL and al-Nusra terrorists in Aleppo province, near the borders with Turkey, reliable sources in the region said.

The sources said that the army men launched massive attacks against the ISIL terrorists’ positions in Dir Hafer, Banan al-Hiss, Khan Touman, which resulted in the destruction of the militants’ depot of ammunition and weapons.

Meanwhile, the army units confronted al-Nusra terrorists in al-Lairamoun, al-Ansari and Jub al- Qebba neighborhoods in Aleppo, where many terrorists were killed, others were injured and their vehicles were destroyed.

Also on Saturday, the army targeted the rebels’ centers in Khan al-Assal, al-Mansoura, al-Rashideen, and Kherbit al-Ma’asir in Aleppo and its countryside, and destroyed a long convoy of the militants’ vehicles loaded with weapons and ammunitions.

Syria in Last 24 Hours: Army Kills Terrorist Commanders in Daraa Province

The Syrian army attacked the terrorists’ command headquarters in Daraa province, and killed a large number of the militants’ commanders who had gathered there.

The terrorist commanders of Al-Nusra Front, Harakat al-Mosana, Al-Vieh al-Ez and al-Jeish al-Hor terrorist groups were planning to launch fresh attacks on the city of Daraa in their last gathering.

Also in the past 24 hours, the Syrian army thwarted an attack by the Takfiri terrorists on a strategic region in Eastern Ghouta in Damascus countryside.

The army units prevented the Jeish al-Islam terrorists from taking control of Zobedin region in Eastern Ghouta.

The Syrian army killed over 20 terrorists, including 5 Jordanian nationals and a commander named Abu al-Yasser al-Ghoutani, in heavy clashes.

The army units also destroyed the terrorists’ vehicles equipped with heavy machineguns.

Meantime, a prominent Syrian analyst said ISIL’s savage acts in Iraq and Syria indicate that Israeli thoughts are ruling the terrorist group’s command center.

“The intensifying terror and intimidation methods used by the ISIL in Syria prove that those supporting the terrorist group seek to obtain their goals through violence and want to fully raze certain races from the region’s population map,” Hessam Shoaib told FNA.

He said that the new methods of execution used by the ISIL show that the US supports the terrorist group directly since the technologies it uses for recording and producing the videos of its beheadings and executions is completely different from other groups in the region.

“Israel’s presence in ISIL’s command center is indicated by the savagery of this terrorist group that is based on Talmudic rituals,” Shoaib said.

Elsewhere, the Kurdish fighters seized back a building from ISIL control in the town of Kobani and freed tens of hostages from the Takfiri group’s captivity.

The Kurdish People’s Protection Units (YPG) took control of a residential building on Kobani-Shiran road and released at least 100 civilians from the terrorists’ custody.

The Kurdish fighters in the Syrian border town of Kobani defeated and drove out the ISIL terrorists from the strategic region for a second time in two months.

The border town of Kobani had been surrounded again by the ISIL on Thursday but it was freed on Saturday following fierce clashes between the Kurdish People’s Protection Units (YPG) and the terrorists.

According to reports, the ISIL has killed around 200 people in the Kobani region since launching a raid on the town early on Thursday.

Meantime, a senior commander of ISIL was killed in heavy clashes with a rival terrorist group in Damascus countryside in Southern Syria.

Amer Qazaleh Abu Amro al-Homsi was killed in clashes with Ahrar al-Sham terrorists in Eastern Qalamoun today.

The infightings have intensified among rival terrorist groups across Syria and many terrorist commanders have been killed in battlefield or in terror attacks by other militant groups.

Also the local sources confirmed that the Syrian army stormed the terrorist groups’ positions in different fighting areas in the provinces of Hasaka, Idlib, and Lattakia, and killed or wounded scores of fighters.

The sources said that scores of the ISIL terrorists were killed or injured in the Syrian air strikes on their gatherings in the Sakhr, al-Salaya and al-Saba’a in the Southeastern countryside of the Northern Hasaka city.

The Syrian air force also targeted the ISIL hideouts in Gherrat al-Msalleb in the Southern countryside of the Hasaka city, leaving many terrorists dead and injured.

In the Northwestern province of Idlib, the Syrian army men killed many terrorists in Jannet al-Qura and destroyed a convoy of their vehicles in Tal al-Sahn.

The Syrian air force also targeted the militants’ missile cache in al-Kassab, the strongholds of “Ahrar al-Sham Movement” in Droshan, and the hideouts of the “Tenth Brigade” in Salma in the costal province of Lattakia.

Also, the military sources announced that the Syrian Army continued its operations against the foreign-backed militants across the Central province of Homs and the Northern province of Aleppo, and inflicted heavy losses upon them.

The sources said that the country’s army alongside the popular forces repelled terrorists’ attempts to infiltrate from al-Ra’es mosque into al-Khrab Street in al-Waer neighborhood in the city of Homs, killing a number of them and injuring others.

A number of terrorists were killed also and others were injured during army operations in Tallet al-Rastan in the North countryside of Homs city.

Meantime, the army targeted the rebels’ centers in Deir Hafir, Khan al-Assal, al-Mansoura, al-Rashideen, Kherbit al-Ma’asir and Binan al-Huss in Aleppo and its countryside, and destroyed a long convoy of the militants’ vehicles loaded with weapons and ammunitions.

Syrian Analyst: Global Zionism Helping ISIL to Establish Caliphate

A prominent Syrian analyst said that the world Zionism has hatched plots to help create an ISIL caliphate in the regional states to provide security for Israel.

“The ISIL terrorists have been brought from across the world to Syria and Iraq to build a promised land not for the Jews but, this time, for the Jihadis and terrorists,” Ahmad al-Daris told FNA on Sunday.

Noting that the methods used to empower the Takfiri system of the ISIL are similar to those used by the Zionists to create Israel on occupied Palestinian territories, he said that based on Talmudic rituals and the global Zionism’s rules, Palestine will turn into a promised land for the Jews, and Syria and Iraq as well as the entire Middle-East will turn into a territory for the Takfiris’ caliphate to protect Israel.

In relevant remarks on Saturday, another Syrian analyst said ISIL’s savage acts in Iraq and Syria indicate that Israeli thoughts were ruling the terrorist group’s command center.

“The intensifying terror and intimidation methods used by the ISIL in Syria prove that those supporting the terrorist group seek to obtain their goals through violence and want to fully raze certain races from the region’s population map,” Hessam Shoaib told FNA.
