Jeb shakes up his campaign team . . . Struggling to establish his own brand and regain his footing in the early voting states where he lost ground, Jeb Bush shuffled his political team Monday just one week ahead of his expected official campaign announcement. The former Florida Republican governor announced that Danny Diaz, a 39-year-old consultant known for his aggressive style, would serve as his campaign manager in place of Dave Kochel, an operative with deep experience in Iowa politics who had been brought aboard earlier this year and was widely expected to serve as in that capacity. Obama tries to bully Court into ruling for Obamacare . . . I’ve seen some headlines about Obama’s frustration boiling over and so forth. This has nothing to do with frustration. It’s a considered tactic designed to try to intimidate the Court into doing what the president wants. Note how he specifically targets not just the merits of the case, but goes straight after the Court, questioning why it even took the case and warning it to do the right thing, see? – thug style. Lew booed at Jerusalem Post conference . . . Clearly, those in attendance understand the enormous peril posed by the Obama administration’s appeasement of Iran. And so, naturally, they reacted with anger as Lew artlessly read the administration’s propaganda off his teleprompter, no doubt assuming that a rote recitation of the White House nonsense on Iran would suffice. Labor Department: Let transgenders use the ladies room . . . The Department of Labor issued instructions for how private businesses should address a transgender individual who wants to use a different bathroom, arguing that allowing transwomen to use the ladies bathroom is a matter of “health and safety.” Washington Free Beacon
Court backs Obama on Jerusalem . . . The U.S. Supreme Court on Monday struck down a law that would let American citizens born in Jerusalem have Israel listed in passports as their country of birth, saying it encroached on the president’s exclusive power to recognize foreign governments. Reuters
Temperament counts . . . Not only does Obama never learn from mistakes, he doesn’t think that he makes them, and he denies that they even exist. Any regrets for the way he passed healthcare? On the heels of Transportation Security Administration workers flunking a security test at airport checkpoints, the results of a new audit show that — while the agency keeps a robust system for screening commercial airport workers — it still failed to flag 73 airport workers “linked to terrorism.” Fox News
U.S. commandos hit ISIS intel jackpot . . . A raid last month by American commandos on the home of an ISIS leader in Syria turned up a trove of valuable information, reportedly including the role played by the leaders’ wives, who sometimes acted as couriers in delivering information. Fox News
Live anthrax shipped to 19 states . . . The number of labs that received live anthrax samples from a U.S. military base in Utah has risen to 66 in 19 states, Washington and three foreign countries. Reuters
Hillary officials cut criticisms out of State Dept. reports . . . State Department Inspector General officials edited out passages of a high-profile report in 2013 that could have embarrassed Hillary Clinton just days before she quit President Obama’s Cabinet. Hillary’s project accepted $5M from sexual abuser . . . Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton’s “No Ceilings” women’s empowerment project at the Clinton Foundation accepted a $5 million commitment last December from a Swiss billionaire even as his lawyers were fighting in federal court to hide his darkest secret — a long record of sexually abusing women. Clinton beats Sanders narrowly in Wisconsin . . . Hillary Clinton is crushing the rest of the Democratic presidential field in national polls, but over the weekend, in a Wisconsin straw poll, there was reason to give the Clinton camp pause and the Bernie Sanders camp hope — Sanders scored a strong second-place finish with 41 percent of the vote, to Clinton’s 49 percent. Israel defense chief: No Palestine peace in my lifetime . . . Israel’s defense minister said on Tuesday he did not believe a stable peace agreement could be reached with the Palestinians in his lifetime – one of the bleakest assessments from a top-level cabinet member since talks collapsed last year. New drugs could save many from heart attack, stroke . . . The highly-anticipated new drugs have been shown in clinical trials to sharply reduce levels of bad, or LDL cholesterol, representing the first major advance in the area since widely used statin drugs hit the market in the late 1980s. Protests over video of officer drawing gun on black teens . . . Hundreds of demonstrators marched Monday night to the pool where a white police officer pinned a black teenage girl to the ground and pulled a gun on others over the weekend. South Carolina officer indicted in shooting of unarmed man . . . A former North Charleston police officer was indicted on a murder charge Monday in the fatal shooting of an unarmed man who was running away from the officer after a traffic stop. Fox News
