(Before It's News)

Washington, D.C. is a federal district, meaning it’s laws have to be approved by Congress. There has been delegation by Congress to Washington’s City Council, but Congress can stop things.

One of those things is abortion legislation that threatens to undermine religious charities in the city. The Washington Post’s Aaron C. Davis wrote about the legislation and, at a time of racial discussions across the country, chose to refer to the Republicans in Congress as the “overseers”.

Yes, you know, like the Master’s overseers who oversee the slaves on the planation. Yeah. He went there.

Wednesday’s budget vote ratcheted up tension between Democratic leaders in the District and their Republican overseers on Capitol Hill.

Stay classy, Washington Post. Stay classy.
