Yemeni Missiles Destroy 2 Military Bases in Southern Saudi Arabia

The Yemeni army and Ansarullah fighters continued their missile attacks on military bases in the Southern parts of Saudi Arabia and destroyed two of them.

The Yemeni forces destroyed two military bases in Dhahran al-Janoub and Jizan.

The army and popular forces’ attacks came in response to the continued Saudi fighter jets’ air raids on Yemen’s residential areas.

The army and Ansarullah fired 36 missiles at Borj al-Moin military base in Jizan province and another one in Southern Dhahran.

On June 6, the Yemeni army fired a Scud missile into Saudi Arabia, forcing the monarchy’s officials to cancel all Jizan and Abha flights.

Saudi Arabia later claimed that it had intercepted the Scud by two Patriot missiles. This is while the airport terminals of Jizan and Abha were evacuated and flights cancelled following the attack.

Later reports showed that Saudi Air Force commander and 60 other ranking officers as well as 20 Israeli soldiers were killed in the attack.

Yemeni Troops Fire 70 Missiles at Saudi Military Bases in Jizan

The Yemeni army and Ansarullah fighters pounded the Saudi military bases in the Southwestern city of Jizan with tens of missiles in retaliation for the kingdom’s continued airstrikes on the Arab country.

The Yemeni military troops fired 70 missiles into the Southwestern city of Jizan on Sunday, targeting several military bases.

The raid was carried out in response to continued Saudi airstrikes on Yemen’s residential areas.

The latest round of Saudi aerial bombardments came after peace talks between various Yemeni political factions in the Swiss city of Geneva came to an end with no agreement.

Saudi Arabia has been striking Yemen for 88 days now to restore power to fugitive president Mansour Hadi, a close ally of Riyadh.

Hadi stepped down in January and refused to reconsider the decision despite calls by Ansarullah revolutionaries of the Houthi movement.

Despite Riyadh’s claims that it is bombing the positions of the Ansarullah fighters, Saudi warplanes are flattening residential areas and civilian infrastructures.
