Yemeni Army, Popular Forces Kill Scores of Saudi Soldiers in Jizan
Military sources in the Northwestern battlefields confirmed that the Yemeni Army and popular committees stormed the Saudi positions in Jallah in the border province of Jizan, and killed a number of Saudi soldiers.
The sources said that the Yemeni army and popular forces raided the Saudi al-Hijla position in Zahran Asir and killed several Saudi soldiers and destroyed a number of their armored vehicles.
The Yemeni Army and popular committees also launched missile attacks on the Saudi bases of Al-Doud, al-Khobah and al-Qasibat in Saudi Arabia’s Jizan to retaliate the Saudi airstrikes on the residential areas in Yemen.
The sources added that the Yemeni army and volunteer forces also restored security to the Brigade 31 Base of the Yemeni army and returned the al-Qaeda plundered weapons to the retaken garrison.
Saudi Arabia has been bombing Yemen in the last 100 days to bring its ally, fugitive president Mansour Hadi, back to power.
Yemeni Army, Ansarullah Forces Seize Control over Al-Qaeda Main Base in Aden
The Yemeni Army alongside the popular forces of Ansarullah took control over the Beir Ahmad military base, which is the main bastion of the al-Qaeda terrorist group in the coastal city of Aden.
The sources said that the Beir Ahmad Base, which was previously dubbed Khalid bin Walid, was the largest military base of the Saudi-backed al-Qaeda terrorists in Aden with more that 95 tanks and a large number of artilleries and heavy weapons.
The sources went on to say that the army men and popular committees are advancing against the terrorists’ positions in the Beir Ahmad region and have thus far cleared several buildings in the region from the terrorists.
In the meantime, the army is advancing towards al-Kara’a region and has pushed back the terrorists of al-Qaeda in the battlefront.
The sources confirmed that the terrorists of al-Qaeda have fled the battlefronts due to heavy offensives of the Yemeni army and Ansarullah fighters.
Last month, Yemen’s popular Ansarullah fighters captured a number of fugitive Al-Qaeda terrorists who were fleeing Ma’rib province.
The captured terrorists had fled their military bases in Al-Bayanat, Al-Jawf and Al-Sahil in Ma’rib province.
They were arrested by the Yemeni revolutionary forces on Ma’rib-Sana’a road.
The Ansarullah fighters and army troops have made major advances in their fight against the Saudi-backed al-Qaeda terrorists and forces loyal to fugitive President Mansour Hadi across Yemen in recent weeks.
