South Korea fired dozens of artillery rounds towards North Korea during the day after the North shelled across the border to protest against anti-Pyongyang propaganda broadcasts by Seoul – the first exchange of fire in 10 months. In the early hours of Friday morning, North Korea's Supreme Leader ordered his troops to be in a “wartime state”.
