My Twitter followers have suddenly declined from 8,700 to – err – 1! Can anybody explain this? As I have often explained, I don’t tweet, except for an automatic tweet of the title of new blogposts. This does however seem extremely strange.
In a similar vein, my blog has disappeared completely from the industry standard TEADS blog rankings (formerly Wikio and ebuzzing) despite formerly having been as high as number 2 in the UK and for most of ten years in the UK top 20. Numerous requests to TEADS to reinstate it have received no reply of any kind. It is not a matter of dropping out of the top charts, which I am sure I have not; my registration has been removed.
This blog has frequently fought off legal threats, including not just libel but threat of imprisonment under the official secrets act, and frequent denial of service attacks. It is therefore difficult not to suspect an organised attempt at suppression as lying behind these developments.
