Global warming fascists ask for criminal investigation of opponents
This isn’t totally surprising. If you scratch the skin of a scientist bent on controlling your life you will find an amoral and vicious fascist. That is why I’ve often opined that scientists are the least desirable people to have a voice in ordering society. Once you possess The Truth there is really no need for debate and dissent is a waste of time.
Global warming fanatics are on the ropes. Their lies and conspiracies to manufacture data have been exposed. Their predictions have proven false. Their monomania is being rejected by thinking people everywhere. So what’s a fascist to do when they can’t convince the people to make the trains run on time. Well, imprison their critics, of course.
A group of these people, and I use the term very loosely, have forgotten that they live in a free society where freedom of speech has not yet been outlawed by the administration and they have written a letter to Obama requesting that climate skeptics — that, definitionally, is anyone with the capacity for critical thinking — be investigated and prosecuted under the RICO statute.
We appreciate that you are making aggressive and imaginative use of the limited tools available to you in the face of a recalcitrant Congress. One additional tool – recently proposed by Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI) 6% – is a RICO (Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act) investigation of corporations and other organizations that have knowingly deceived the American people about the risks of climate change, as a means to forestall America’s response to climate change...
The methods of these organizations are quite similar to those used earlier by the tobacco industry. A RICO investigation (1999 to 2006) played an important role in stopping the tobacco industry from continuing to deceive the American people about the dangers of smoking. If corporations in the fossil fuel industry and their supporters are guilty of the misdeeds that have been documented in books and journal articles, it is imperative that these misdeeds be stopped as soon as possible so that America and the world can get on with the critically important business of finding effective ways to restabilize the Earth’s climate, before even more lasting damage is done.
These people are dangerous. They are a threat to the very society they leech off from. They have no concept in a free society and just as we must choke of federal funding to the abortion industry, so, too, must any future GOP administration cease funding these dangerous lunatics.
