Ex-Minister: US Helping ISIL in IraqFormer Iraqi Transport Minister Salam al-Maliki underlined that Washington is on the same side with the ISIL, and urged his country’s popular forces to expedite uprooting the terrorists in Al-Anbar province.

“There are compelling evidence which prove that the US has supplied the ISIL with weapons and intelligence,” Al-Maliki told FNA on Wednesday.

He noted that the recent statements of the US officials indicate that they are willing to prolong the battle for winning back Anbar province.

Al-Maliki, however, said that the Iraqi forces are preparing for fresh operations in Fallujah and Ramadi in Anbar province.

Last month, a senior Iraqi intelligence official revealed that the US helicopters drop weapons and other aids for the ISIL terrorists in the Western province of al-Anbar.

“The fighters present at the forefront of fighting against the ISIL always see US helicopters flying over the ISIL-controlled areas and dropping weapons and urgent aids for them,” the official who called for anonymity told FNA.

Yet, he said the helicopters could have also been sent from Turkey or Israel.

He added that in addition to dropping aids, the helicopters transfer the ISIL ringleaders and wounded members from the battleground to some hospitals in Syria or other countries which support the terrorist group.

The official cautioned that such assistance further prolongs the conflicts in Anbar, adding that when the Iraqi army and popular forces purge the terrorists from Anbar province, the US helicopters will transfer the ISIL ringleaders to other regions to prevent the Iraqi forces’ access to ISIL secrets.

Scores of Iraqi soldiers were killed by the ISIL in two deadly ambushes in Anbar province on Friday.

The restive region has long been a flashpoint of fighting, where the terrorists are largely in control.

Forces stationed in the province continue to be on alert, and were instructed in a visit by Defense Minister Khalid al-Obaidi to proceed with “caution and precision,” so as to avoid “unjustified losses.”

In a relevant development in March, a group of Iraqi popular forces known as Al-Hashd Al-Shaabi shot down the US Army helicopter that was carrying weapons for the ISIL in the Western parts of Al-Baqdadi region in Al-Anbar province.

Also in February, a senior lawmaker disclosed that Iraq’s army had shot down two British planes as they were carrying weapons for the ISIL terrorists in Al-Anbar province.

“The Iraqi Parliament’s National Security and Defense Committee has access to the photos of both planes that are British and have crashed while they were carrying weapons for the ISIL,” al-Zameli said.

Soros-Sponsored NGO in Syria Aims at Ousting Assad, Not Saving Civilians
One of the largest humanitarian organizations operating in war-torn Syria – the White Helmets – has been accused of being an anti-government propaganda arm that encourages direct foreign intervention.

In an article for the 21st Century Wire news service, investigative journalist and peace activist Vanesse Beeley says that the White Helmets use search and rescue activities as a cover-up to demonize Syrian President Assad and help terrorists.

The official website of the White Helmets says that its volunteers have already saved more than 20,000 people on all sides of the conflict, adding that the organization is following the principles of humanity, solidarity and impartiality outlined by the International Civil Defense Organization.

However, according to Beeley, the White Helmets and other NGO’s such as the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, are used to justify the West’s policy of arming and supporting the insurgency in Syria.

Analyst: No Place for S. Arabia, Qatar in Russia’s Political Plan on Syria

A prominent Syrian analyst underlined that Saudi
Arabia and Qatar which still continue their financial and logistical
support for the terrorists cannot play a role in Russia’s political plan
on Syria.

Russia’s
recent plan to settle the crisis in Syria is the last chance to promote
finding a political solution to the crisis in Syria, and Saudi Arabia
and Qatar which are still helping the terrorists don’t have any place in
this plan, Qassem Hadraj told FNA on Wednesday.
He said that Moscow’s preconditions for the
opposition forces, including its emphasis on the necessity for their
united position and recognition of President Bashar al-Assad’s
legitimacy, for their presence in the conference to find a solution to
the crisis in Syria along with the developments on the ground are all
helping the Syrian government.
Hadraj also expressed pleasure that Russia is due
to play a serious role in fighting terrorism in Syria and equip the
Syrian army with modern weapons.
Recently, Russian President Vladimir Putin
confirmed that Moscow is providing aid to the Bashar al-Assad
government, including weapons delivery and military training.
Also Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Michael
Bogdanov affirmed the presence of the Russian military experts in Syria
to train the Syrian army men how to use new military technologies
according to joint contracts in the domain of military cooperation.
“Our military contracts with Syria are
continuously implemented and different kinds of military equipment are
being exported to Damascus… so training these new technologies are in
need for services, and the Syrian armed forces are also in need for help
and training,” Bogdanov said.

Iran Agrees to Open Airspace to Russian Aid Planes for Syria

Iran has agreed to open its airspace for the
Russian planes carrying humanitarian cargo for Syria, press secretary of
the Russian Embassy in Iran Maxim Suslov said on Wednesday.

Suslov
told Itar-Tass that Iran path will be used by the Russian flights to
carry new cargos of humanitarian aid to the crisis-hit Syria.
On Monday, the Greek Foreign Ministry announced
that it had received a US request to close its air space for the flights
of Russian aircraft with humanitarian cargoes for Syria. Athens said
that the Russian side chose the route to the East of Greece for the
delivery of humanitarian aid to Syria, Itar-Tass reported.
On the same day, Bulgaria refused to provide an air corridor to Russia for these purposes.
Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov
said earlier Moscow would continue to supply humanitarian aid to Syria
on alternative routes.
