Palestinian president warns of new Intifada over Israel’s attack on al-Aqsa – YouTube
Abbas discussed the issue during his meeting with French President Francois Hollande in Paris. He said what is happening in the occupied West Bank is very dangerous and could lead to another Palestinian uprising. The comments came amid simmering tensions in Jerusalem al-Quds over the repeated attacks by Israeli forces and settlers on the al-Aqsa compound. Israeli forces first stormed the holy site last week, injuring dozens of Palestinians. Clashes and protests have taken place across the occupied West Bank since then. Tel Aviv has restricted entry of Palestinian worshipers to the mosque. Palestinians say Israel is trying to change the Islamic identity of the al-Aqsa Mosque.
