Palestinians condemn Israeli attack on al-Aqsa Mosque – YouTube
Palestinians have taken to the streets of Jerusalem al-Quds to condemn Israel’s latest assault on the al-Aqsa Mosque.
The attack has also sparked international condemnation. Jordan has accused Israel of provocation and attempts to change the status quo. Under the current situation, Jews are permitted to visit the mosque but can’t pray there. Meanwhile Egypt has condemned the assault as an unacceptable escalation against Muslims’ holy places in the occupied territories. Jordan and Egypt are the only two Muslim countries which officially recognize Israel as a state. Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas has also slammed the attack. Fierce clashes broke out inside the al-Aqsa Mosque on Sunday after Israeli forces stormed the compound and fired tear gas to disperse Palestinian worshippers, injuring three of them.
