Top Rand Paul aide accuses top Rubio aide of punching him in the face | 18 Sept 2015 | A top aide to Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) on Friday morning accused Sen. Marco Rubio's deputy campaign manager of throwing a punch at him at a bar Thursday evening on the eve of a Republican conference where several GOP presidential hopefuls are scheduled to speak. Paul's national political director John Yob accused Rubio (Fla.) deputy campaign manager Rich Beeson of hitting him. “Last night I went to a bar on Mackinac Island for the GOP Mackinac Conference,” Yob wrote on Facebook. “I ran into a guy named Rich Beeson…Anyway, he is Marco Rubio's national campaign manager [sic]. He literally physically assaulted me by punching me in the face.” Yob said the incident was captured “on video, from multiple angles.”
