Conservative wing of the Vatican continues facing off Pope Francis for the liberalization of long-held doctrine. Yesterday it was reported that Pope Francis had suffered a mild stroke after angrily arguing with his Bishops at the Vatican’s Synod. The article was apparently withdrawn by Inforwars.com, the website that echoed the report by LEO LYON ZAGAMI, who alleges to have contacts with Vatican insiders. Today, it has been made clear that the gap between the conservative wing, the Pope, and homosexual members of the Curia is widening. The subject of the Pope’s anger is a letter sent to him by 13 bishops who are not happy about the methodology used during the Synod. The Ordinary Synod is creating more of a headache to Pope Francis than he could have expected. Although the meeting is focused on family issues such as accepting homosexuals in the Church or in giving communion to divorced people who get married again, there is another topic that is also the focus of attention: The clear uprising of the conservative wing. One day before the start of the meeting, a member of the Curia, the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, gave a press conference in which he announced he was gay and that he had a partner. Days before, several conservative cardinals had signed a statement in which they showed opposition to any change in the doctrine of the church and against giving communion to divorced and remarried people and warned against homosexual unions. As if the divide among the bishops was not enough, Francis has been hit by the existence of a supposed letter to him with the signing of thirteen cardinals in which they question the methodology used in the gathering and an attempt to manipulate the outcome of the Synod on the Family. The letter signed by the thirteen cardinals was published on Monday on an Italian blog informed the Pope of their opposition to the methodology applied in this synod. The cardinals complain about an attempt to manipulate the outcome of the Synod by focusing too much on issues like allowing access to the sacraments to divorced and remarried people. Some cardinals have denied having sent the letter to Francis saying that the “signatures are wrong, and that the content is also wrong. :Most of the content does not belong. I do not know why this happened and who leaked it,” said George Pell, the prefect of the new Vatican Ministry of Economy. The mystery is served and as other scandals in the past the letter is now convulsing the Vatican’s version internal scandals. Now, members of the Church wonder who leaked the document to the journalist, for what purpose and what was the real content of the letter. Four cardinals explicitly said they did not sign anything: the archbishop of Milan, Angelo Scola, and the Archbishop of Paris, Andre Vingt-Trois; the general rapporteur of the synod, the Hungarian Peter Erdo, and the major penitentiary, Mauro Piacenza. Their position was different to that from the South African representative Fox Cardinal Napier, who said he withdrew the signature because the content of the letter did not match the content he knew of. German Cardinal Ludwig Müller, Prefect of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith also appears among the signatories, and on Tuesday he told Corriere della Sera, that “it’s a scandal when a private letter to the pontiff is published. “This is a new Vatileaks. The intention of those who wanted to publish this letter is to sow fights and create tensions. It seems clear,“ Mueller said. In addition to them, there is Cardinal Jorge Urosa Savino, archbishop of Caracas, who has chosen to remain silent. In the published letter the cardinals say that “the new methodology to guide the synod seems to ensure undue influence on the deliberations of the synod and the final synodal document”. In particular it relates to greater space for discussion of the so-called Working Groups, which are grouped by language, and the commission for drafting the final document has not been chosen but has been named by the Pope. They also criticize the content of the “Instrumentum Laboris,” the document on which the discussion is based. “The absence of proposals and the related discussions and voting seems to discourage open debate and limits discussions to the small groups. Therefore, it seems urgent that the drafting of proposals be voted on by the whole synod,” observe the cardinals. But what most seems to be more “urgent” is that “several members have expressed concern that a synod planned to address a vital question -strengthen pastoral dignity of marriage and the family may come to be dominated by the theological, doctrinal problem of giving communion to divorced and remarried people. “ The letter written in English was given to Francisco for the opening of the Synod, on October 5, 2015, and the cardinals openly expressed their fear that the Synod finally accepted communion for people who divorced and remarried. That would explain the surprise intervention by the Pope when he spoke at the Synod. Francis invited the 270 Synod to refrain from thinking that there are “plots” or “manipulations”. The Pope spoke to those present about what he called the “hermeneutics of conspiracy” and invited them to have “full confidence in one another and to be convinced that what is expressed in the synod is said in full freedom […]

  • It’s all part of the big plan, People. Don’t be surprised when you hear of bad things about the RC church. All part of the plan.
