French president calls Paris attacks 'act of war' by Islamic State | 14 Nov 2015 | French authorities on Saturday said the horrific rampage of bullets and explosions that left 129 dead on the blood-stained streets of Paris was carried out by suicide bombers linked to the Islamic State who broke into three roving groups with a single objective: To kill as many people as possible. The attacks – involving at least 10 conspirators and far more sophisticated than the January siege here by three Islamist militants…put Europe on a new level of terror alert. In the aftermath of the most deadly attack on French soil since World War II, the Eiffel Tower shut down “indefinitely.” France's president decried the bloodshed across Paris as an “act of war” Saturday, blaming the attacks on Islamic State. Moments later, the Islamic State asserted responsibility for the bloodshed.
