The mayor of Brussels says the Belgian capital is still facing a grave threat as two terrorists are in the Brussels region.
One
of the terrorists is said to be a fugitive Paris attacker who returned
to Belgium following the attacks in the French capital. There’s no word
on the identity of the second suspect. The terror alert in Belgium’s
capital remains at the highest level over fears of a serious and
imminent threat. The terror level for the rest of the country remains at
three. The Belgian government and security forces are expected to
review the maximum terror level of four for Brussels later in the day.
Citizens have been advised to avoid crowds over the weekend and
preferably remain indoors. Shopping centers, metro stations, museums and
cinemas in the Belgian capital remain closed.
