(Before It's News)

Chris Christie is not my first choice for 2016, but I have to give credit where it is due. He is a talented politician who excels in handling town hall meetings.

He is also an advocate of reforming how we handle drug addiction and those who suffer from it. It appears to be one of the signature issues of his campaign for the Presidency, and it’s one he has emphasized in previous campaign ads.

The following video comes from Christie’s recent town hall meeting at the Shooter’s Tavern in Belmont, NH. In it, he gives a couple of very personal anecdotes to help underscore his case for reform. Whether you like him or not, you have to admit, he offers a powerful testimony on the problems our nation faces in dealing with drug addiction.

Unfortunately, the only place I’ve been able to find coverage of the meeting is the Huffington Post, so in absence of a better option, the video comes via them. At any rate, it’s definitely worth a watch.

Chris Christie Makes Emotional Plea To Rethink Drug Addiction …

“Somehow, if it's heroin or cocaine or alcohol, we say, 'They decided it, they're getting what they deserved.'”
