A grim day for Israeli-Palestinian violence

Fascist Israeli MK Calls for Palestinian Concentration Camps

father, mother, sisters and brothers. I have no doubt that this could be a very big deterrent.”

Yogev is one of many lunatic fringe Israeli politicians, racist Arab haters. During earlier Israeli instigated Al-Aqsa Mosque violence, he was filmed screaming at a Palestinian woman, telling her to “go to the grave. You will not pass here, only Jews!”

He vowed Israel will “deal with the terror (sic) with an iron fist.” He’s a Zionist zealot, a vocal advocate of unlimited settlement construction.

Following Israel’s High Court ruling upholding the demolition of two illegally built settler West Bank buildings, he railed against the decision, saying “(w)e have to take the (oversized) blade of a (Caterpillar) D9 (bulldozer used for illegal Palestinian home demolitions) to the High Court of Justice” building.

“We as a legislative system (must) rein in judicial rule (to show) the Knesset and government…rule(s) in Israel (and) the judiciary will know its place.” ……………………

Will Obama Give Israel even more American Weapons and Dollars to Kill Palestinians?

By Ann Wright

War Is A Crime” – President Obama met with Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu on November 9 in the White House and is considering the Israeli request to give a 50% increase of nearly $1.5 billion in U.S. military funding bringing the U.S. donation to the killing of Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza to $4.5 billion a year.

As it stands now, more that half of the U.S. foreign military spending for 2016 goes to Israel. As in all things, Israel gets special treatment by the U.S. allowing Israel to spend 25% of its gift from the U.S. to pay itself for buying weapons from its own weapons industry!!!

According to a recent congressional report, Israel has received $124.3 billion in military assistance from the US since its founding in 1948.

The report states that “strong congressional support for Israel has resulted in Israel receiving benefits not available to any other countries; for example, Israel can use U.S. military assistance both for research and development in the United States and for military purchases from Israeli manufacturers…..

The real message from EU move to label Israeli settlement goods

Ali Abunimah

………………These unhinged reactions holds two key messages. First, by comparing EU labeling to Nazism, Israel’s backers demonstrate that no tactic is too depraved or indecent.

Using the Nazi genocide to deflect criticism from Israel’s racist, illegal theft of land from Palestinians cheapens the lives of the millions of Jews murdered by Europeans.

But Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu himself recently showed that such disgusting propaganda was fair game when he fabricated the story that Hitler got the idea for the Holocaust from a Palestinian.

The second lesson is one that chronically gutless European leaders should heed.

Once Israeli leaders have labeled you a Nazi, there’s really nothing worse they can say.

So if EU leaders are likened to Hitler for a move as minimal as mere labeling of settlement goods, then why not do something more courageous and effective?

The price is the same, so you might as well support all Palestinian rights and all legitimate means to achieve them.

But sadly, EU leaders are unlikely to absorb this. Instead, they’ve been trying to assuage Israel’s rage by professing a deep desire for even more cooperation and complicity with it, and downplaying the significance of the labeling move.

The most important message is this: EU leaders will continue to coddle Israel’s brutal regime of occupation, apartheid and settler-colonialism unless European citizens maintain and escalate their valiant solidarity campaigns with the Palestinian people.

Destruction of al-Aqsa is no conspiracy theory

Ilan Pappe

Thus, neither historical monuments in Jerusalem nor mosques around Palestine were immune from the destructive policies of the colonizer. This ruination of the country’s Islamic heritage is deeply engraved in the Palestinian collective memory.

Palestinians also frequently witness Israel destroying buildings with armored D-9 bulldozers, supplied by the US firm Caterpillar.

However, it is not only this vivid memory of the Israeli geography of destruction that plants fears among many about the future of al-Aqsa. It is a realistic analysis of the ideology of some of the potent political forces today in Israel, who are represented in Benjamin Netanyahu’s current government.

The most important of them is the ever-growing religious nationalist movement. It used to be a marginal force, but today it is part of the establishment.

As Or Kashti of Haaretz revealed recently, part of the curriculum of that movement’s school system (Israel runs three systems: a secular Jewish one, a national religious one and the “Arab” system) is a program that advocates the building of the “Third Temple.”

Building the temple is the ambition of humanity as a whole, pupils are told. Kashti talked to experts who read the program and although he stresses that the program does not have a direct reference to blowing up al-Aqsa, the pupils are inoculated with the idea that they are on the verge of the Jewish redemption (Geula) of the mount.

This program is supported by Naftali Bennet, the education minister. Along with his colleague, Uri Ariel, Bennett is part of the Jewish Home party, which is committed to replacing al-Aqsa with a Jewish temple.

Following the election earlier this year, Ariel was appointed agriculture minister. In his previous role as housing minister, he called explicitly to build the new temple over al-Aqsa. He is not a marginal politician, and neither is his party.

The Israeli government supports with money and other means several organizations that call openly for a similar plan. The most important of them is The Temple Institute in Jerusalem, founded by Rabbi Yisrael Ariel. Its funding has been investigated by the Haaretz reporter Uri Blau.

The institute’s main goal, according to its website, is “to see Israel rebuild the Holy Temple on Mount Moriah in Jerusalem [al-Aqsa mosque compound], in accordance with the Biblical commandments.”

There is nothing ludicrous or unimaginable in assuming that a zealot Zionist will one day carry out such plans.
