Terror Alert Raised to Highest Level in Brussels –The Belgian capital is placed on the top level 'four' in the warning scale because of a 'serious and imminent' threat. | 21 Nov 2015 | Belgium has raised its terror alert to the highest level in Brussels over a “serious and imminent threat”, after a meeting of top ministers, police and security services. The level for the whole country was raised a week ago following the Paris terror attacks to level three out of four, implying a “possible or probable” threat. Previously, only certain sites, such as the US embassy, were at level three. A spokesman for the Belgium government's crisis centre said in a statement: “Following our latest evaluation…the centre has raised its terror alert to level 4, signifying a very serious threat, for the Brussels region.
