The Year of the Insider
It is the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand and Fifteen, and it has been a truly stellar year for the Insider. The Insider has been predicting Donald Trump’s immediate downfall. Trump is now in second place in the polling averages, but shows no signs of stopping. In fact, he is ramping his efforts up by actually buying ads now.
The Insider has been so sure of Jeb Bush’s success. Jeb has tanked after two awful debate performances and some really awful campaign strategies. He has no path to victory short of everyone dropping out en masse.
The Insider just knew the unruly conservatives would be kept in line by Rep. John Boehner (R-OH) N/A%. Boehner was forced out by those very conservatives. The Insider then said Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) 57% was the natural pick to replace him, which was followed up by McCarthy surprisingly dropping out of the race.
The Insider said Matt Bevin ran a truly awful campaign and was likely going to lose. He won the Kentucky governorship by a whopping eight points.
The Insider has relied on bad polling. The Insider has relied on conventional wisdom. The Insider has pontificated on political outcomes based solely on a utopic view of what Washington D.C. could be: A place for moderate to spend money on what they want to see done. There is no room for the conservative worldview there.
The Insider will continue to make predictions based on bad data and ill-will toward conservatives, and The Insider will continue to be wrong time and again. This year is the Year of the Insider. After all, they need something to make themselves feel better, don’t they?
