Trump Clarifies: 'I Want a Database for the Syrian Refugees,' Not All U.S. Muslims | 23 Nov 2015 | Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump faced a firestorm of criticism for remarks he made on Friday about implementing a national database for Muslims in the U.S. In an interview with Fox News on Sunday, Trump said that he never advocated for a mandatory registry of all U.S. Muslims, but does support a database for all incoming Syrian refugees. “Certainly I want a database for the Syrian refugees that are coming in… because nobody knows where they're coming from,” said Trump.
