Bomb scare sparks evacuation of BBC HQ, surrounding offices in London – YouTube
The Metropolitan Police said the area outside BBC’s New Broadcasting House was cordoned off following reports of a suspicious vehicle, parked at Portland Place. The staff working at several businesses on the road were not allowed to return to the buildings while the investigation was underway. Scotland Yard later confirmed that the alert had been cancelled and the vehicle was found non-suspicious. Police in London remain on a heightened state of alert following the terror attacks in Paris earlier this month and have appealed for the public to remain vigilant.
