France’s key regional runoff underway amid far-right surge in first round – YouTube
Marine Le Pen’s National Front is NOT expected to repeat the win in Sunday’s run-offs. But the anti-migration party is expecting to gain at least one region in its first ever such victory. The National Front has recently got a boost from Europe’s refugee crisis. Last week, it left former president Nicolas Sarkozy’s party in the second position and the ruling Socialists in the third. The results of the regional polls are seen as an indication of who might lead France after the 20-17 presidential vote.
