Iraq is investigating a deadly US airstrike on Iraqi soldiers west of Baghdad. Press TV cannot verify the authenticity of the footage.
The Defense Ministry announced that a probe has been launched into the raid that killed ten soldiers. The US military says Friday’s bombardment was the first incident of so-called “friendly fire” during the operation to drive the ISIL out of Anbar province. The US-led coalition has been conducting air raids in Iraq for a year and a half. But it has failed to deal an effective blow to the terror group.
