Report: US airstrike kills Iraqi soldier – YouTube

An airstrike by the US-led coalition has killed an Iraqi soldier west of the capital Baghdad.

The US air raid hit the Iraqi army’s 55th Brigade in Anbar province. Ten Iraqi troops were also injured in the attack. Washington says its warplanes bomb Daesh positions in Iraq. Many in Iraq complain that the US-led air campaign has been ineffective. The US and its allies have has been carrying out airstrikes in the Arab country for the past one and a half year. But the attacks have failed to dislodge Daesh from areas it has occupied. The group has been driven out of some regions only after ground operations by the Iraqi army and popular forces.
