Students at San Bernardino college told to evacuate because of hoax bomb threat –San Bernardino Valley College students told to evacuate Monday night –School is roughly three miles from site of shootings earlier this month | 14 Dec 2015 | Police evacuated a college in San Bernardino, California, after being told that there was a threat to campus. 'Please leave the campus immediately,' said a tweet from San Bernardino Valley College signed by community college police chief Pierre Galvez. 'Campus is closed until further notice. Please stay tuned for more info soon,' the college said. However, police soon said that the threat, which the athletics department called a bomb threat, was a hoax.
